I am the proud mama bear to 3 beautiful children, my youngest is 9 months old and since she was born I have only been able to lose 9lbs! I am currently training for my first 5k and I just seem so sluggish I cannot get into the shape I feel a kind mama should be in. I want to have energy to keep up with the kids I really believe that a vegan cleanse is just the jump start I need not only for the weight loss but also to give me the energy I desire.
Being a mommy sometimes means sacrificing and I feel guilty buying myself something even though it will be good for me (it’s a mommy thing) so I am keeping my fingers crossed that maybe I will win this giveaway. :)

I am about to have my 4th baby and I have had to abandon my vegan lifestyle (this abandonment has caused an emotional and physical drain) because of a Gestational Diabetes diagnosis which I was totally unable to manage while staying vegan (to my great dismay and heartbreak), though believe me, I TRIED. My husband and I cannot wait to return to our natural eating state once our little man is out and I think this would be a great jump start for us, though I know I will have to supplement beyond it to keep my nursing supply up. I would be so honored to win this giveaway and get myself back on my chosen lifestyle track! Thanks for the opportunity!

Here in Toronto, Canada, we have had the worst winter in YEEEAARRRS. So bitterly cold, windy, snowy, and it seemed like it would never end. When cooped up indoors due to miserable weather conditions, all you want to do is curl up on the sofa with hot tea and….FOOD. Therefore, vegan comfort foods were my BFF for many bitter winter evenings! Although they were vegan, they weren’t exactly superhero. Plus, you find yourself savouring a glass of wine or two on some evenings just to calm you down from the terrible commute! Therefore, my body could really use a good detox to make me feel lighter and prepare me for more fresh, locally grown foods this spring!

I’ve always wanted to try a cleanse but have found it in the past to be very difficult to follow through with (mostly due to not having enough fiber/protein to fill me up and keep my energy levels up). This sounds like a great solution to those of us trying to live a healthy and kind lifestyle because it’s important to be kind to ourselves too :) I’d love to try this and share it with my friends!

I believe that doing a cleanse would really improve my overall well being greatly. It would help with a lot of ailments that I am currently dealing with. I would really love how much easier for me it would be to stick with it if I had everything mapped out for me. I absolutely love that your cleanse is soy free! All to many times I run into the issue of soy ingredients found in so many food products. I just feel that your cleanse would be a fresh start for me.

I’ve been gluten free and vegan since December. I was formerly a vegetarian who fell off the wagon a few times due to numerous vitamin deficiencies, but finding out about my gluten intolerance has been the key to success this time. (Although I can never have Seitan again or most prepackaged meat subs like tempeh bacon) I have lost 40lbs and feel fantastic. Now I am getting ready to have tubal reversal surgery so that my husband and I can try to have more children. I would love to be able to do this cleanse before we start trying to conceive so our future child will have the healthiest start possible!

    • Annika April 19, 2014 at 12:25 pm

Marti, as a Type 2 diabetic I know that cutting carbs is the key to not only better blood sugar levels but weight loss as well. I was looking for a different approach to diabetes than what the ADA guidelines tell you, so I came across the book “The 30 Day Diabetes Miracle”. This book uses a meatless approach to blood sugar control and weightloss, and although I’m not a vegan I tried it and it worked for me. You can cut carbs by limiting yourself to certain amounts for main meals (like 35g for women), and since the meals are legume-based you still get plenty of protein. I lost weight very quickly, 53 lbs in 3 months, and no, I didn’t kill myself in the gym. The only thing I found hard initially was not eating after dinner, but after a while I got used to it. Although this book is originally intended to help diabetics, I think anyone who wants to lose weight can use this method.

I would love to win one because my body needs a cleanse. I am a grad student graduating this May.I am always busy. I need and want to make a change. Some things I notice are that I am tired all the time, I get cyst like “zits”,and have gained weight over the past six months along with other symptoms of a diet that consists of processed food . I think this is due to my diet and stress. I am ready to love and nurture my body. I want to feel vibrant and energetic. I have made the decision to gradually cut out all animal products in an effort to live responsibly and to honor the souls of all creatures on this planet. I would love this kick-start. I am ready to begin my new way of living and leave the sick and tired me behind. I am also a singer-songwriter and want to get back to the stage fit healthy and ready to succeed ! This cleanse & sharing my journey would be really motivating at this time in my life.
