Lisa, thank you so much for writing in and sharing this story. I am beyond words moved that you found my book and now you are happy and healthy! 



I just wanted to say thank you for The Kind Diet Book. You saved my sanity. On Dec. 30, 2014 I found out that I am allergic to nuts, soy, grains, all animal products, many spices, as well as some veggies and fruits and even some spices! So, I panicked! I ate lettuce salads for a WEEK because that’s “all I could have”.

A visit to the interwebs quickly sent me to you and I got your book along with several others at the library. I sent the others back but kept yours checked out. I have followed the superhero diet since I finished reading it in a 24 hour period. I am a week in and I can say that my hair and skin are already looking better and my other symptoms are slowly abating.

Thank you so much for explaining in such simple detail that I’m not going to starve to death. You’re book is now my food bible and I just wanted to thank you for it. So, Thank you.

    I had a lot of health issues, and tried several variations of a plant-based diet. No matter what my husband and I try together, we always return to the basic principles laid out in macrobiotics. Alicia’s book is a great, simple source for helping people implement a health and balanced diet, as some macrobiotic teachings that became popular in the past were way too restrictive.
