Hi Alicia, that’s a great idea for a giveaway. I’d like to know more about long-term impacts of living a “kind life” – do you know of any studies that follow folks that eat organic for years and compare them with average eaters, for example? Thanks!

  • Mandy

I’d love to learn more about preparing foods in advance to used about the week. I just started my Kind Journey so I still have a lot to learn. :)

  • disqus_x6ie33ak3x

I’d love to see some posts about eco home goods – like ethically sourced/made furniture, rugs, furniture, etc. Thanks for all you do!

I would love to hear more about the impact that the current big brand diapers have on our environment. Its important that parents are aware. Do the corporations address these matters and what are they going to do to adjust the materials to become environmentally friendly. I would also like to hear what type of diapers you used when your son was a baby.

  • Michaela Waller

Hi Alicia, I would love to see some information about easy recipes for making home made deodorants , shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste and cleaning products, being both better for our planet, our selves and hopefully lighter on the wallet! :) thanks xo

Hi. I am studying to be a health coach. I loved watching you talk about nutrition. (I have been craving miso soup ever since). I just started reading your book “The Kind Diet” and I am enjoying it very much. I would love to know how you feel about organic foods, cleaning products, and cosmetics. Are you flexible when it comes to that? Thank you!!!

I would like to learn more about being a conscious consumer of eco-friendly and sustainable products for health, beauty and cleaning. How can we know more about the products we use? What resources are available to consumers for comparing companies?

  • Diana Nguyen

Hi Ms. Silverstone! I really enjoy all of your books, especially The Kind Diet. My sister-in-law just had a baby, so I bought her The Kind Mama and she loves it! An eco or health related question I would like to see discussed on the next post for The Kind Life is how to incorporate kind living into your everyday life. For example, basics steps to incorporating the idea of leaving the smallest carbon footprint possible. From toilet paper usage, to detergent, to recycling, to food, to clothes, and everything in between. Perhaps an emphasis on how a person who may be unfamiliar with kind living to slowly ease into The Kind Life. :)

I would like to see the issue of vaccines discussed. With the recent withdraw of Vaxxed removed from the Tribecca Film Festival line up, I’m disturbed about censorship and new laws around this issue.

HI Alicia! I would love to discuss ways to keep our footprints small for those of us who live in rural areas without access to organic grocers. I fit in this category, so use Thrive Market for a lot of purchases, but feel guilt over the packaging and shipping.

Hi! I would like to learn more about how a vegan diet not only promotes health and wellness, but is good for the environment too. I have friends who like to tease me saying “plants have feelings too” and how cruel it is to eat them. I know how silly this is, but I would like to hear your thoughts on the matter. Thanks!

  • Ingrid

    Hi Alicia,
I started the Kind Diet about 7 years ago. Your book opened up a door for me. I’m so fascinated by healthy food and lifestyle and even more so now that I’m a mommy of two. This lifestyle is very easy for me, but it’s been hard to get my husband and preschooler more involved. I’d like to learn some ways to prepare easy meals/snacks with ingredients that are easy to fine and that my kids will want to try. Also, some Thank you!

  • Natalie King

I’m just starting my journey to a plant based diet. I’m also a single mother of 2 very picky boys. I’d love to hear about plant based diet on a budget, along with kid friendly swaps/recipes.

I would love to see more posts on how to live a green lifestyle and eat a healthy plant-based diet for those of us on low-income budgets who may not live in an area where these foods/items are readily available. I live in a small town in NE Ohio, and my family of four relies on my husband’s disability income as well as a monthly EBT allotment from SNAP for food (food stamps). I have read both of Alicia’s books, and it is hard to find many of the food items she seems to use on a daily basis. Any suggestions or ideas are more than welcomed!

  • Kathe

I would like to hear about the craze of super foods and their health benefits to our plant-based/vegan diets and a discussion on how our increased consumption has affected the local farmers and populations that consider these super foods staples to their own diets. Also, discussion into some responsible ways to consume such foods without causing such hard eco/social impacts.

  • Debby Long

I would like what natural products you recommend for using as moisturizers, bath products even make up. And are there recipes for making my own beauty products at home?

I’d love to see a post based on the Paleo diet! I love trying new health trends and I would love to hear about Paleo or something similar!

  • Julie Anthony

Hi everyone!! Super cute outfit :) Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of advice surrounding my vegan lifestyle. Concerned people thinking I’m not getting enough nutrients and not feeding my children right either. Pushing paleo diets and giving reasons why my diet is deficient. I would love to see posts about how to handle this. And also about getting enough protein and nutrients. I live in a small town in Texas and do not know any other vegans. Also, posts on studies showing why a plant based diet is best. My usual response is because it makes me feel really good!!! Thank you!!!

  • Meg

    Hi Alicia!

I’d love to hear how you balance the fine line of sharing what you know with others and avoid becoming a broken record. In everyday life, I’ll share my thoughts on why I eat vegan when asked, but I feel like others who know me respond best when they see the results of my actions—feeling great, having energy, not getting sick, eating awesome food, etc. They’ll ask questions, and they’ll start the conversations because they’re truly interested.

However, it’s tough when there is a lot of misinformation on the Internet, and there are new trendy diets that focus on bringing unhealthy foods into the daily rotation. This is especially relevant for me right now, because I have a family member who is sick and exploring ways to heal herself at home (while still going through the steps of doctors appointments, etc.), and of course, diet is key. It’s a tricky balance to share what I know and to not offend someone who is spending a lot of time and effort into researching diets. (I lent your The Kind Life, Kris Carr and Chad Sarno’s Crazy Sexy Kitchen, and Fully Raw Kristina’s The Fully Raw Diet to her for some food as medicine inspiration to accompany the information she was finding.) It’s tough when you know someone you love could benefit from a certain change, but in the end, you have to respect each person’s decisions and how they live his or her life.

I’d love any input you have on this, and especially if you have any stories from your life around this that you could share.

    Thank you, Alicia!
    Meghan

Hi Alicia! I would love to have a topic about the best drinks for kids. My son does drink water but not all day. He is currently drinking a vegan milk supplement but it is costly so he only drinks 8 oz. a day. I would like to know which milks are the best to drink on a daily basis or are there some other drinks you would recommend? Do you think too much soy milk is bad? I am wondering because his supplement is soy based and I would like to stop using that soon. I just want to make sure he is getting enough fluids and also all of the vitamins he needs. I may be different than some other people in the fact that we are trying to add calories which is difficult on a vegan diet. I would love to know about drinks you use for your son and family. You should also write a new cookbook that is geared toward children. That would be amazing! Thank you Alicia!
