Here are six iPhone apps that could make it even easier to kind your lifestyle. Check ‘em out:
1. GoodGuide: This app’s barcode feature allows you to scan items and determine whether it is safe, healthy, green and socially responsible.
2. GreenYou: Track and calculate your carbon footprint on the planet!
3. EcoChallenge: This app makes going green fun by giving you Game Center achievements for every green decision you make.
4. iGrowit: If you’re not sure what to grow in your garden but are eager to get started, this app tells you exactly what and how to grow your own vegetables from start to end. (There aren’t any reviews on iTunes but it sounds like a cool app…I hope it’s good)
5. Paper Karma: This would be great if it actually works! All you have to do is take a picture of junk mail you receive and this app will find the company and remove you from their mailing list! Amazing if this works! Has anyone tried it?
6. My Recycle List: Are you ever confused about what you can and can’t recycle? This app clears it up for you and lets you know where the nearest public recycling bin is!
What are some other ways technology can help us go green?
Share them so I can download them too!

Hi Alicia-
I have PaperKarma and use it ALL THE TIME. Every time I get junk mail I submit a pic in PaperKarma and they take care of the rest. SO COOL.I haven't calculated their exact success rate but I am def getting a lot less junk than I was before! -
I think Alicia needs an app for Kind LIFE!! I'm always in the store wishing I had my book, trying to recall an ingredient or a recipe! -
Wonderful.

Believe you will love it. -
I took a look, but the reviews for several of these were not too strong. I did find some additional that you might like. "HealthyMap" in particular which pinpoints vegetarian restaurants in cities (currently NYC & London). Enjoy :) -

I use PaperKarma and so far it seems to work decently... we are always getting new junk though, and it doesn't work on those coupon/newspaper looking ones which bug me the most!!
Strive to Thrive,
Nic

Do you know if they have similar apps for android smartphones? I try not to visit my app store unless I have a specific type of app to get. I would love the My Recycle List one but I don't have itunes or a computer for that matter. -
These apps look great! @ Liz, there is a website called barnivore that lists vegan beer, wine, & liquor. I book marked it in my web browser on my phone for easy access while I am shopping. Check it out! -
Oh these are awesome! I especially like the looks of the Good Guide it sounds great and I would love to hear if the Paper Karma one works because there is so much junk mail sent out.I also would really like the one that lets you know what you can and can't recycle. Thanks!! -

Great information to have at your fingertips! Do you have any vegan apps that you would recommend for food/booze/etc? -
