In my new movie Butter, I played Rob Corddry’s wife. He is hilarious and such a great actor to work with! The entire cast was so great. Onset, I got to feed Rob and Olivia Wilde everyday. Rob is so funny…he says he is a meat eater, then goes around saying how amazing he feels when he eats this way. He even emailed me asking for a recipe! It made me so happy. I’d call him a flirt, but he has recently been excited about health again, so he might be more than a flirt. I’m gonna have to find out!
And Yara is an adorable ten-year old, who played my daughter. She is so cute, I wanted to eat her face off! By the way, this is how Rob and I came up with our “Childrens Hospital” bit. Because of Yara and my need to eat her. I couldn’t stop kissing her! Besides being edible, she is also a good actress. All of the actors were just so inspiring and exciting to watch. I’m so happy I got to play with them! It was really a pleasure to come to work everyday.
On another note, Louisiana, or at least Shreveport, needs some real help in the health department. We had to cook everything! I brought my trusty assistant to get me through the last round of shooting, so I would feel good everyday. And she made such great, nourishing food!
Butter is available now on Video on Demand and iTunes and will be released October 5 in theaters (get tickets here).
Have you watched Butter on VOD, or are you waiting for the theatrical release?

Wow! PLEASE DON'T continue to speak for vegans! "Shreveport needs some real help?" And "I brought my assistant..." to cook all my difficult vegan meals for me? Thank God I'm a Rich Californian, because that's the only way I could be vegan during my movie shoot! #WhatADouche -
I love the movie theatre and there is nothing like it. Because of my schedule I might just have to VOD Butter. I will check and see if it's on there now, and probably watch Saturday night. Thank you! -

Hi! I live in Lafayette, Louisiana... Louisiana most DEFINITELY needs help in the health department. Everything good that is available always seems to be in California or New York. It is tough being a vegan here. -
I watched it on VOD and I loved it! Great cast, great movie! Thanks for sharing about your experience Alicia! -
Just watched "Butter" on Amazon yesterday for the 2nd time (watched it the night before too) and LOVED IT! I invited a friend over and he loved it as well. I agree - Yara's SO adorable - I just want to squeeze her! The movie was funny and silly and not a typical story. Yay! Looking forward to your other films that have yet to be released... <3 <3 <3
You rock! -
hi Alicia...thanks for sharing parts of your life...I have never heard of the movie Butter but now you have me interested...I'm glad that you are able to eat healthily during the filming of your movie with the help of your assistant...I am eating a delicious vegan dish made with organic brown rice, an organic potato, and organic lentils...it's so simple but delicious with organic olive oil, organic sesame seeds, and chopped organic garlic...I really have been able to fix delicious vegan meals with a lot of practice and trial and error...I actually have learnt how to flavor my vegan dishes with vegetables rather than using meat...:) -

I saw the trailer for Butter on the Apple Movie Trailers website and made my husband watch it with me a second time. We noticed that it wasn't out in theaters yet, but could be instant streamed through Amazon! We loved the movie. It was very funny and sweet as well! -
I like hearing about your work projects, Alicia, and I will try and see Butter. I also want to say that you still look stunning! xoxo. -
I had the opportunity to see BUTTER at the Toronto International Film Festival last year! It's hilarious! A must see!
