I’m looking forward to watching President Obama speak at the Democratic National Convention tonight. Watch these and get inspired - they're really good!
Michelle Obama
Michelle Obama made a great speech on Tuesday night. She truly cares about this world, and is really smart. This video starts with a good speech by Elaine Brye, then you can watch Michelle Obama’s full speech after that. It was so good.
Elizabeth Warren
Elizabeth Warren made a great speech. I really liked her, and my husband turned to me and said, she is a badass!
Tammy Duckworth
Congressional candidate and Iraq veteran Tammy Duckworth gave a good speech and made excellent points.
Bill Clinton
Bill Clinton was fantastic. Funny, eloquent, and delightfully intelligent. I appreciated his straight talk, passion and common sense. He’s respected by both parties. And he’s vegan yahoo!
What comes through for me the most with all of these is the warmth of heart. The sincerity. The straightforward, easy to understand points of view, and mostly the passion. It’s really exciting.
Have you been following the conventions?

@Nick: Well said. I am in 100% agreement with you. When I heard on NPR that Obama was supporting the interest of factory farming in addition to arguing on behalf of Pork Farmers in NMA v. Meat Association my heart and stomach sank. I remember saying out loud to no one in particular: Why doesn't he support/promote a vegan lifestyle? Furthermore, why doesn't he adopt a vegan lifestyle? I fear for this country, I really do as I do not care for either party -- both are equally corrupt. This might be the first time in my adult lifet hat I throw my vote away by not voting. -
Thanks for sharing Alicia!! I didnt see all of the speeches but pieces of all and was very impressed with what i heard and saw...I am very much a Dem and will definately vote for the man who I feel has my best interest at heart!! Go Obama!!! Truth be told, i don't think anybody can fix this grand mess everybody thinks we are in and I don't think President Obama created the mess either!! -
We have watched both conventions. We realize that Americans need to truly self educate and know the facts rather than idealizing speeches with rapturous countenances. Just because one hears something in a speech doesn't make it so. The future of Americans and our country is at stake. Everyone should see the current documentary in theaters, 2016 Obama's America, to educate themselves further and watch more interviews of unbiased people. Of course we are not a fan of Obama either. Observing the facts, we fear Obama will totally ruin America if reelected as so many other famous people in the news believe as well. One opinion is Obama will set back America 1,000 years minimum and make it socialist like Europe. We don't need that. Perhaps, the Obama's can sell some of their White House Beer to help us with the trillions in National Debt. -

The RNC had 6 women speakers and the DNC had at least 21 women speakers. It's very important for women to be represented. Women make up 51% of the population in this country and only have 17% representation in Congress. Check out this awesome documentary!

Because President Obama and his administration have and continue to choose factory farming's interests over those of animals (amongst a million other policy stances he advances that I stand against), I just can't support him or his administration. Arguing on behalf of Pork Farmers in NMA v. Meat Association last fall was despicable enough, but then he silently allowed for horse slaughter. I am also disappointed at his reluctance to stand for the right of civil marriage for same-sex couples.
What I am really hoping for is a change from our two-party system to one of more choices and players, because from where I stand, neither choice is a good one. There are wise, intelligent, good policy-makers on both sides, like Elizabeth Warren and Condoleezza Rice.
And lets not forget who could have been president, but was thrown under the bus by her own party. If Clinton had been elected, we'd have had real change and true diplomacy. -
Thanks for the info Sara I'll look into that! And thanks Alicia I didn't get to listen to these speeches now I feel more caught up. I try to keep an open mind. I just wish we had the attitude that Clinton spoke of...we are afterall "in this together!" -
All great speeches, but Clinton's was THE BEST!! Damn, I wish I could orate like that. What a gifted person. -
I am disappointed with President Obama's first term, and am not sure how I will vote in November. One disappointment was his change in attitude about labeling GMO's.
But given this is an election year, maybe he will choose to listen to voters rather than Monsanto for a change. Here is a link to a petition that is appealing to Michelle Obama to urge the president to keep his word about labeling GMO's.

Please consider signing, and if you live in California, vote yes on Prop 37! -
I'm sorry gal but this post is so not me! All I hear out of their lying mouths is talking about the "future", which is their way of saying, "Please ignore the last 4 years of crap that I've accomplished. The worsening employment rate, outrageous public aid participants, and offering those who don't (not can't) support themselves the money of those of us who work hard for those dollars. I pray Obama is not re-elected. -
I have never been interested in politics but the older and more aware I get the more interested I am. Becoming a vegetarian (almost vegan) has changed how I see the world. I feel like the Obama family are really authentically good people who want the best for the people of our country. -
I watch both conventions, so as to be best informed. I am one of the 27 million who cant find a job and cant afford 4 bucks for a gallon of gas. My kids are now saddled with a 16 trillion dollar debt. So, I am not excited about the politicians, but I will still watch. -
The convention is getting me excited about the election again. It is such a relief to like who is in power. I wish they weren't always blocked from doing what they need to do. I hope that the next four years will be more bipartisan so we can get more done.
