I’m In A New Movie About Butter (Sorta)!
In April and May of 2010, I went back and forth from LA to Shreveport, Louisiana a bunch of times to film Butter, a movie I’m thrilled to be a part of!
The script by Jason A. Micallef was so good - funny, silly, touching, ridiculous and wicked, all in the same story! The director, Jim Field Smith, was so sharp and on it and funny. He was really warm, and a real pleasure to be around.
And then there was the stellar cast: Jen Garner, Ty Burrell (he is amazing on Modern Family as well, if you haven’t seen it), Hugh Jackman, and Olivia Wilde (also a vegan - whom I’ve blogged about here!), Ashley Greene from Twilight, Kristen Schaal (adorable and hilarious), Yara Shahidi, and Rob Corddry!
Butter will be released on September 7 on Video on Demand and October 5 in theaters. So check it out! I can’t wait to hear what you think!

Whoa guys, chill out. It's a movie, and it's how she makes a living. Maybe your entire work environment is vegan friendly, and if so good for you. All I know is that I can still smell people cooking meat at my work at lunch and no one berates me for that. Btw.. pretty sure it's not the butter that's funny but rather the actors and actresses.

I see no difference between butter and steak,unless it is a plant butter! Alicia's book is one of the best out there for Vegan cooking. I am sure that there is some explanation. I do not believe she would promote dairy products, even in jest.

I have to agree; it is confusing why a vocal vegan would appear in a movie about butter. Did they use real butter in the movie? If so, sad and wasteful.

She is an actress, doesn't mater if she's vegan as long as she plays her character well. This trailer alone makes me laugh, hope to ROTFL when i watch the whole part. :)) love yah Alicia Silverstone! -

I can't wait to see this movie! Just my kind of satirical nonsense with a killer cast! My favorite part of the trailer is probably when Rob Corddry stands up to tell the truth about their precious butter. -
R U kidding me? I absolutely L-O-V-E Jennifer Garner! What a sweet girl--just like you, Alicia. Loved Jen in Daredevil, Elektra, and expecially 13 going on 30. What an amazing cast! Kudos 2 U all! xoxo
