A Special Valentine’s Day Giveaway

Jan 29, 2013 at 5:05am by Alicia Silverstone

Hey Kind Lifers! I’m happy to be able to give away some decadent and sexy kind products for Valentine’s Day.

My Valentine’s Day Giveaway includes…

aaOKJpmwDNnYtiPQTcT8Esak.jpeg:Amazon:photo

Kneipp Sensual Seduction Bath

The smell of Jasmine is known to deeply relax the body, creating desirable and romantic moments, while melting away any negative feelings. The sweet almond oil will hydrate your skin and leave you feeling soft and smooth.

Leaf Vibrator by Swan

When you’re getting it on (with a partner or solo style) sometimes it may be nice to have a little extra… something. This personal massager is inspired by nature… I like that they look natural and feminine and not scary. Plus, the design makes it very discrete. They're made from phalate-free, super-soft (and safe) silicone, and they use rechargeable batteries. I love that! This is a great product.

Shave Love Weekender Kit for “Care Down There” by Project Fig
We’ve all been there with the red bumps and razor burn and ingrown hairs and all of the other no fun stuff. Project Fig makes this 4-step kit dedicated to preventing all of that and giving you soft, pain-free skin. This kit includes Groom, a gel that softens the hair and prepares your skin; Prevent, an exfoliator that helps to prevent ingrown hairs; Soothe, a nice serum that minimizes bumps and redness; and Tame, a hair “inhibitor” that buys you a little extra time in between shaves or waxes. The ingredients are all-natural and make your skin feel nice!

Plum Hill Body Oil
The oil makes your skin feel silky… it works great as massage oil! It’s made from natural, paraben-free ingredients like cane sugar, apricot oil, shea butter, and almond oil. The scents are natural blends--no artificial fragrances here. What a nice little gift for you and your partner!

One lucky Kind Lifer will win all of these goodies for Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day Kind Lifers! Whether you are single, in a relationship, or if you boycott the day altogether, these goodies are fun and good for anyone. Sending you all my love!

UPDATE:

Thank you to everyone who entered. We'll continue to have great giveaways here on Thekindlife.com so make sure that you're a member so you'll be the first to know.

Congratulations to our winner Kelli!

"My new husband (we got married just a few months ago) has joined me in my Vegan diet and we try new recipes daily. We buy from local, organic farmers. I've converted my dog, Tanner, to a plant-based diet after researching his nutritional needs and ensuring he's getting a balanced diet. We are writing a book and studying holistic nutrition, so we can educate and help people live healthier, more conscious lives. We donate to animal welfare on a regular basis, are animal activists, and we also donate clothing and items to local organizations often. We are very conscious about our water usage, garbage, and recycling. We use social media to drive awareness about farm animals, pet health, holistic nutrition, and I've been known to promote Juice Beauty as well :) It would be very special to receive some decadent and sexy kind products for our first Valentine’s Day together! x"

Hi! I dont know if this qualifies as it is not with just one loved one but with a group of amazing people i work with everyday at an amazing restaurant called puree! We are helping the planet by establishing the first all organic vegetarian/vegan/macrobiotic restaurant in Charleston, SC. We source everything organically from local farms. We also compost! I am proud to be the head chef of such a kind and loving establishment! Come visit :)

My hubby and I chose to both work at home and share a car to save on needless pollution via commuting to work. We walk and ride bikes a lot, which is also more romantic. We are both full time vegan lifers, that alone makes each of our carbon footprints reduced by 2 tons per year(http://bit.ly/UVhz2A). Of course, we recycle and compost...we are practically reversing our carbon footprints, if that is even possible. lol. We mindfully support events/businesses that are vegan and very forward in environmental thinking. All of our friends and family come to us with their questions about these things. We love it!

My hubby and I have been recycling for years now and feel guilty if anything that's recyclable goes in the garbage by accident. We also buy most of our furniture at yard sales etc...and my hubby refinishes them beautifully. We only own one car and walk or bike whenever we can. We have taken in a few stray cats and would love to take in more as there are way too many of them in our area, but we can't afford to right now having 3 children as well.

My boyfriend and I try hard to live and breathe compassionately for ourselves, other people, animals and the planet. We have witnessed a definite ripple effect in the world around us by modeling compassion in our everyday lives.

In addition to going vegan this past year we are strong supporters of local organic farms through weekly deliveries from Greenling....our biggest accomplishments besides our beautiful boys and 3 dogs is our involvement with a local pet rescue group - we have fostered over 12 dogs this past year and a half!

I work for a large hospital that employees over 5000 people and has over 40,000 patients a year. I order the supplies for the hospital staff and anything that I can find that is "green", I order it. The price difference is not that much. I just found out recently that the hospital does not have a recyclying program. So, I am in the middle of having a petition signed hospital wide to start placing recycling bins in each department to make the hospital more environmentally friendly. I think it will set a great example for all of the employees and get them in the habit of recycling at work as well as at home.

My husband and I recycled when we lived in California but stopped when we moved to Texas but this past year we started recycling again and our recycle can always has way more in it than our trash can.

My beautiful wife & I have been Vegan for 10 years. We live a simple sustainable life with our 3 teenage boys and 3 dogs. We own a natural food market & cafe in Vermont where we spend each day educating & helping our community become more aware of the health, spiritual, environmental and moral benefits to eating a plant based diet.

My husband I sponsor 14 Haitian Orphans at the Maranatha Orphanage in Haiti. We started with 3 children and have been working our way up over the last few years. We are also on the 'Run For Water' half marathon team that runs to raise money to bring clean drinking water to the children. We found that this has an amazing impact on our lives seeing pictures of the kids and their letters really reminds us that we are making a difference every day. Aside from that I am vegan and my husband is a vegetarian. Our little dog Georgie is also a rescue dog from a local shelter where I volunteer to walk the dogs. We just try to do the little things we can.

A few years back my hubby and myself just threw anything away in the trash no thought to where it was going. Now we are recycling maniacs, so many different cans for different things, composters, many trip to clothing banks to donate clothes shoes etc I cant believe how wasteful we used to be and the thought of how much damage just our little family could have caused freaks me out but I honestly say there is nothing but reuse and recylcing going on here....love mother earth, take care of her

My boyfriend (a meat eater for his whole life) and I (a vegetarian for over 20 years) have recently decided to take the leap from animal products and become vegan. We are already feeling the benefits, and I can't believe we haven't done it sooner. I was always told that being a Vegetarian meant I should eat dairy as it would make me ill if I didn't and people could not have been more wrong. I have been amazed by the information that's been available to me and I'm so grateful for discovering the truth :).

My boyfriend went vegan last year, after some encouragement and a lot of information from me. I've been going to Animal Rights protests for 4 years, and he just started joining me!!! So far, he's been to a puppy mil demo at a pet store, a fur protest at a mall, and a protest at Farmer John slaughterhouse in LA! Valentines day weekend, we are going to protest fur at Kitson in LA! I'm so happy we're making a difference together, for animals and the world!

My sweetheart and I recently participated in the National Day of Service in honor of the presidential inauguration. We both love good healthy organic cooking so we volunteered at Project Open Hand here in San Francisco. Not only is this organization dedicated to providing meals to home bound chronically Ill people and seniors but they are committed to providing wholesome food with a variety of dietary needs in mind like gluten free and low glycemic options. Their motto is meals served with love and they are committed to really giving human connection and caring along with the meal deliveries. In addition they provide a grocery in a neighborhood of the city that does not really have access to healthy whole food options. We volunteered at the grocery and with five other folks had a fun day of assembling almost 750 bags of protein rich healthy trail mix. The organization said that would hold them for only like 4 days or so, just to give you an idea of how many people they serve. My sweetheart and I returned home exhusted and fulfilled, snuggling up to a nice nap grateful for what we have and to have helped others eat well. ~missy

We don't drive! We moved to the city center close to all amenities and my partner's work. I have a 45 minute commute to work on the bus which was hard to get used to but now I like it; I get to enjoy it while reading and drinking tea instead of being stuck in traffic. If we need a car to get out of town, we borrow or rent one.

Well I've be vegan, and my partner and I both replenished our toiletries to buy eco and animal friendly products. We not only recycle but compost what we can which is nice for our little garden (though we mostly only have herbs growing right now.

My husband and I go to a home supply repurposing store for all our home needs. We did a complete home and garden remodel from all used materials. When people remodel their homes they can donate cabinets, fixtures, etc to the Rebuilding Center in Portland, OR where they can be re-sold, upcycled and repurposed! It keeps lots of good quality items out of the landfills and gives them new life and a new home!

One thing we like to together on a regular basis is go to Estate Sales. I know it sounds like a "fuddy duddy" type of activity, but we really have fun with it. On a sale day, we map out the locations of the estate sales we're interested in attending, and look for things we may need. We bought a vintage stove, I've found vintage fabrics, and I've even found new items expensive in the store. We try not to buy anything new from a store, if we can help it. This may not seem "Kind" in comparison to other examples, but I think it's a great way to make a small difference for the planet and for your pocket. We score some unique treasures you'd never find anywhere else. And, it's a lot like going on an archaelogical dig. You learn about cultures and time periods of the people who lived there. I also like the idea of saving something that may have had great personal significance to someone else, and finding it a new home, which is why I also sell some of my finds if I don't keep it for myself. And, above everything we enjoy this experience together!

My husband and I do our 110% to live a full, kind life for our mother earth. We do this by doing small but important things for our planet like recycling everything that can be recycled, being mindful of the water we use and living a vegan/ vegetarian life style. Mother Earth needs love and kindness everyday and it is great to see so many others caring for her.
