Hello Alicia, my question has nothing to do with summer, but if you can answer it on the chat or on your page I will really appreciated it.
I would like to know if your book was translated in other languages. I read it and it changed my life completely. I learned so much and I would like to give it to some friends of mine, but some of them do not speak english:(
I would be so happy if it is or if it will be translated to other languages (preferably to portuguese, becase my friends are Brazilians) so that it can change their lives too.

Hi Alicia! Years ago I followed a vegan diet for about 4 weeks and it was great. I lost weight, my skin was radiant, I had no digestive issues. But then I went back to my old way of eating. I am now a little older (late 30's :-)) and experiencing more issues digesting meats and milk. I always feel bloated and have little energy. I am a single mother of a 9 year old and a 16 year old. My 16 year old is overweight and I am also very concerned for her. Any suggestions on changing my diet and getting my kids to also try a vegan (possibly a vegetarian) diet? I would like it if we could all have a healthier way of living. By the way, my sister and I have been fans of you since we were teens:-) Thank you for your book and website!!

I cannot find a local source of wholewheat sourdough. White I can get at the market but not wholegrain. Could you recommend a recipe? I love baking and so maybe making my own is a good solution, and I love bread so much I can't give it up but want to find a way forwards!

Hi Alicia!
I have read your wonderful book, "The Kind Diet" so many times and I often look to it for reference. I have been vegetarian for about 7 years and I am ready to go vegan - thanks for the inspiration! The problem is that I live in Sicily and there are almost no vegan alternatives here nor vegans or vegetarians. Besides the pasta, the staples here are rabbit, horse, veal, beef, etc. I am the odd one out! - In light ofthis, here are my two questions:
1) I often have to put up with explaining myself re: why I don't eat meat, that I am not "sick" even though I do not eat meat, that my blood tests come back fine, and that I am not from Mars. It is a constant topic of conversation and I always feel like I am put on the defense. Any suggestions for dealing with these attitudes?
2) Because most people here are meat eaters, vegan alternatives are impossible to find. I have to drive 1 1/2 hours to Palermo to buy some veggie burgers. Because of this inconvenience, I have turned to cheese as my source of protein and have thus put on some weight. It is so frustrating! I also do not eat beans. There are fresh fruits and vegetables galore here, but I do need the protein sources, and I cannot keep relying on cheese. Any suggestions? I feel so lost with so few "vegan" resources besides veggies and white pasta! Any suggestions for weight loss? I need to get back to my normal size healthily. Do you think the Superhero plan would really help with weight loss?

Good day Alicia,
I would like ideas on summer snacks that are both mom and kid friendly. During the summer my children and I will be participating in numerous activities. What snacks are warm weather friendly that we can all enjoy?

Hello Alicia,
I've been a vegetarian for years and I'm currently transitioning to a kind diet. My question is about birth control. I'm currently taking the everyday pill. Are there any forms of birth control that are more natural or any other suggestions? P.S. You truly have been an inspiration to me during this transition! Thank you so much.

Hi Alicia!
I am not sure if you have addressed this before, but I'm curious about petfood. I am a vegetarian who is currently flirting with the kind diet, but I find it so hard to be eating healthy, organic fruits and vegetables and then feeding my dog (a pittie rescue!) a meat-filled diet that was probably made under horrible conditions. I know that dogs need to eat meat - but do you have any suggestions for this issue? Thank you!

Hey Alicia! I've recently gotten really into running and am now training for some longer races than I'm used to. I work out daily and I'm wondering if you have any suggestions to add to or take away from my vegan diet as an "athlete"? Would you suggest going full superhero? Any websites or books worth looking into? Thanks! Keep up the good work. Kind Life = Amazing!

I know good vegan diets are naturally low in fat and most people do lose a bit of weight or sometimes quite a lot of weight naturally when they change over. I eat whole grain foods, beans, lentils, veg, fruit, natural soya products, I only use natural sweeteners and I take organic super greens in my smoothies. I do feel quite healthy, but I want to loose a bit of weight. I cycle all over my town aswell (but I'm not a fitness freak!). Do you think I should just exercise more or being that my diet is a non junk-food vegan diet, do you think I should just cut back on portion size or cut out certain foods? My downfall is dark chocolate, cake (homemade) and vegan cheese, but my friends tell me I can't cut out everything! And I have to say, I tend to agree! Any advice Alicia?!!

Hi (:
This may sound a little silly, but do you recommend a shampoo/conditioner or hair rountine for coloured hair? My locks are highlighted and I plan to be in the sun a lot this summer so I'd love some advice on keeping them healthy.
I am early on in my plant-based lifestyle, this is my first summer looking for kind products.
Thanks so much!
Kate

Hi Alicia :-)
I'm landing in LAX on June 17th, coming in from Europe. I need a skilled woman to give me a wax treatment (so I can wear a bikini) or I will NOT be kind this summer!!
Seriously, they just don't know what they're doing??? The hair break instead of being pulled, I'm going nuts!! And what's up with these paper strips, they just don't work for the private areas ya know?
I hope that you can help me make this summer a kind one :-) Loved you since "Crazy". And I can't believe this will be my first question for you but I'm desperate ;-) Hey, maybe others will benefit from it too! xo, Buzz

Hi Alicia! I would love to know what types of food you feed Bear to make sure he is getting all of the nutrition he needs. I have a 15 month old daughter and I find it difficult to feed her some of the foods I eat, especially since she cannot eat seeds, or nuts, etc. just yet. She is also picky about eating anything green in color at the moment. Also do you give him any supplements? Thanks!!

Dear Alicia - I have enjoyed your vibrant personality style and I know you have a sweet heart to influence and encourage others to be their very best. I have been praying for you and want you to know that there is more for you to do to be an influence beyond the level you are in at this age. I am a Christian and want to let you know the Lord God loves you and your family and I am believing for so much more for you. I pray you will be blessed this Mother's day and that as you reach out to others your hearts desires will unfold. Blessings, Maura

I'd love to talk about supplements for the Vegan diet/lifestyle. Benefits, risks, brands to trust, how to partner them with a well planned diet. Also, how to stay green and kind while travelling especially to non veggie friendly family.

I would love to know your top pick for beauty products, sunscreen and your take on the raw food diet.

This is in response to Paula Libertine's sunscreen inquiry. Arbonne sunscreen is chemical free. I am very pale (I just about glow when under sunlight) so sun screen in the summer is a must.
I don't really have any questions but did also want to add this fun project I did the other day- I found some DIY perfume recipes that call for just flowers and water, so I picked a bunch of honeysuckle to craft my own personal scent. :) -
