I have awakened to the sunrise. I've meditated, looking for light, fighting off anorexia/bulimia. Step by step, with my inspiring group of friends. :) I'm glad I was able to have my vegan Thanksgiving without the guilt of calories. To finish off with breathing practices. -
Hello Alicia!
First off, I have to say what a huge fan I am of you and everything you believe in! I have been a vegetarian since I was four years old and have turned vegan just under a year ago. Even though I have practically always been vegetarian- this year I am going to to introduce some of my non-veg and veg friends and family to some vegan dishes. I will be celebrating Thanksgiving in my hometown and will be preparing all my goodies along side my grandma and mama who both normally cook in their PJ's until just before guests start arriving. I would love a vegan and comfy outfit to spend the day with the ladies in my life and continue teaching and being very proud of the lifestyle choices I have made throughout my life. Thanks and keep up the great work! xxx -
Hey Alicia!
I will be hosting my first Thanksgiving dinner this year at my new house with my new hubby and all the family. My nephew just got out of the Marines and nobody wanted to have Thanksgiving because of all the "hassle" with cooking and clean-up, but I believe that my nephew deserves a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with Love and Family, something he didn't have while in Afganistan! Since the only thing I'm NOT cooking is the TURKEY (I refused, I'd probably toss my cookies, lol), I would love to cook in some comfy KIND clothing!!! Gonna be a loooooong day! Lol ;-} -
Hey Alicia!
I will be doing my first project for the local Animal Sanctuary in Norfolk County, MA. I'm pretty good with MS Office so I am excited to start creating flyers for upcoming events to raise money! This is going to be a long night(s) of wine, warm socks, and my thinking cap! -
I plan to invite a few friends over and have a low-key friends and family game night. I will do much of the cooking (vegan of course) and maybe we will watch a movie afterwards. Can't wait!

I hope to volunteer at a shelter this year of some sort. I am not able to go home nor do I have I friends in town this year. Since it will be just me and my dog, I'm seriously investigating the idea of volunteering my time at a food shelter or something like that. I've always wanted to do that and I have the time this year. -
I love to be comfy especially on Thanksgiving. My daughter and I are vegetarians and are going to Mom"s to join the rest of my family who are not vegans for the holiday. I'm bringing my veggie gravy and my mom is making us vegetarian stuffing!!! Yummy!! Just found your website and I am having a great time lkooking at all the info. -
I would love to wear this outfit when my husband and I take our dog to the desert and enjoy a meal with close friends. They are not vegan, but there are some flirts and I will be cooking many vegan dishes to share with the group. -
i will be attending two vegan potlucks and would love to be lounging in this gorgeous outfit! -
I just was able to open this email as I have been without internet at work since Sandy hit last week. At home we have no power and most of my neighborhood has most of their homes and all their possessions. We are still thankful that noone in my family was hurt so Thanksgiving wherever it will be will be extra special and kind this year. Being able to give your outfit to someone in need will be a blessing. Thank you and for your website and all the wonderful things you do. -
Hi Alicia!
My name is Elise Vannerson and I'm currently in my sophomore year at Oklahoma City University studying musical theatre. Even though it's my second year of school being away from home gets harder everyday which is why I am so excited to go home for Thanksgiving! I'm from Pasadena, CA and my entire family is full of meat eaters (I was one as well until this past January) so this is my first vegan thanksgiving! My family is also not very supportive of my kind life and therefore I can't WAIT to show them all the yummy ways to make our regular Thanksgiving meal kind and healthy! I plan on waking up and starting to relax right away by watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and heading to the kitchen for a therapeutic day of cooking for those I love most and proving that kind lifers can have a delicious Thanksgiving too :)
Thank you for changing my life! :) -
This Thanksgiving we are going to all go out to eat at a nice restaurant who is serving a traditional Thanksgiving meal. We are going to give mom a break on cooking. -
This thanksgiving I'm going to try to teach my dad and sisters how to cook vegan style! Being a 14 year old vegan in a carnivore family is tough but I'll find a great recipe in The Kind Diet that will make a traditional thanksgiving meal seem boring! -
I am cooking my first vegan Thanksgiving for my fiance, my daughter and her friend. Then off to the dog park we go with our three dogs! -
I plan on spending Thanksgiving with my parents and grandmother in Charleston, South Carolina. I will complete my Power Yoga Teacher Certification program the week before and plan on putting my feet up (literally) and practicing yoga with my mom and at Charleston Power Yoga, where I am receiving my certification. Thanksgiving dinner will be a vegan feast of lentils, squash, ooey gooey vegan pumpkin pie and a whole serving of gratitude. -
At First I was hoping to win them for me, But Now I would like to win them for someone in need. People lost everything with Hurrican Sandy. -
I'm planning on cooking your vegan thanksgiving recipes for my first thanksgiving as a family ! It will be my daughters first thanksgiving and her first taste of real food ...which will be vegan ! :) I'm very excited...it's also me and my husbands first thanksgiving as a couple .ill be spending the day outdoors ..enjoying the beautiful warm Texas weather ...sipping your spice wine :)it's very exciting and am hoping I will give my husband a reason to be vegan as well with the delicious dinner ! -
This year I unfortunately cannot spend Thanksgiving with my family because my parents are in one country, my brother in another, and I am in the US (I will definitely be skyping!) But I am so excited to spend the day with one of my best friends ever who is from Japan and this will be her first Thanksgiving! I have been a vegetarian for four and a half years, and recently I have become curious about being vegan. Your book has been very informative, and the recipes I have tried have been delicious, so I am looking forward to having a vegan Thanksgiving this year. Hopefully the day will be full of silliness and fun as well as relaxation as I need a break from my university life. And I always like to have a leaf fight with my friends and be in the outdoors! -
I plan on spending it with my family, and inviting those who don't have much of one. We'll share stories and food, and just be thankful for each other. -
I'll be spending Thanksgiving in Philadelphia with my sister, her husband, and her two rescue dogs, Melba and Lupe. I mention the dogs by name because I know most of our relax time will be spent admiring their cuteness, watching them do tricks (my sister's a dog trainer), and just plain cuddling. As for food, I'm hoping to hit up the many Asian restaurants I've been missing out here in the Rocky Mountains. turkey shmurkey. -
I plan on relaxing with my family and eating some yummy kind food! Then I'll probably visit with my friend and her family and watch a movie. I'll also make some kind desserts for them to try, maybe some chocolate peanut butter cups! Yum! -
I'll be flying across the country to cook as many vegan feast items as possible for my non-vegan family! That sounds the most relaxing to me! -
I'll be spending Thanksgiving with my sister's family and in-laws this year. We are going to bring many yummy vegan dishes for everyone to try, including your Thanksgiving Tofu and Kombacha Squash Soup (one of my favorites)! It's always fun making a Kind meal for people and having them truly enjoy it! Thanks for all you do, Alicia! -
I plan relaxing this Thanksgiving down in the Florida Keys where the sun is bright and the wind is cool! This will be the first Thanksgiving where I will go away and just be thankful for this beautiful earth we live on. I plan to cook some delicious vegan treats and relax to the sound of the waves and wind. That kind and comfy outfit would go perfect with my kind and comfy Thanksgiving! Thanks for all you do in spreading the vegan lifestyle! <3 -
I will be joining my mother and sisters in cooking a big meal of favorites - including sweet and mashed potatoes!
