delicious desserts from candle café!
Candle Cafe is one of my favorite veg restaurants in NYC, and until recently, you had to go there to get their tasty treats. Luckily for those of us who don't live in New York, they just debuted a line of desserts that are available at Whole Foods Markets nationwide!
Candle Cafe's desserts are all-natural, vegan (100% dairy free), kosher, and made with organic ingredients. They come in four flavors:
- Chocolate Mousse Tart
- Chocolate Peanut Butter Tart
- Raspberry Linzer Tart
- Vanilla Cheesecake
They'll also be making their vegan mini-muffins available soon, so watch for those! The muffins will come in the following flavors:
- Orange Cranberry
- Corn
- Blueberry
- Pumpkin
- Chocolate
- Chocolate Chip
- Lemon Poppy
- Carrot
Of course, this is not superhero fare! These desserts have sugar, but they are sooo insanely perfect for flirts and wild & crazy vegans!
Which dessert do you want to try most? I want the chocolate peanut butter tart.

The Raspberry Linzer Tart is amazing!! My hubbie enjoyed the Chocolate Mousse version.

I've been fortunate to be able to purchase these for quite a few months now in my local Whole Foods. As much as I'm a peanut butter/chocolate fan, I think the Chocolate Mousse is the best out of threeI've had--I haven't yet tried the raspberry tart. They are all good, and I think the crust is absolutely delicious. They're a bit pricey but so worth it as an occassional treat.

I bought the Raspberry Tart for my son's first birthday! I bought one for me too; I thought it was delicious, he thought it was great fun to smash it to bits.

I just tried the peanut butter chocolate tart last Saturday! I noticed my Whole Foods had it stocked and couldn't resist, remembering you mention Candle Cafe. It was really, really great!

Zachary...I love to hear about extra resources for vegan/veg recipies & I love your idea of finding ideas for ingredients on hand, so I don't think its spam... this is what the Kind Life forum is all about in my opinion...we're all sharing our knowledge & experience of vegan life.

hi all...I haven't been on here for awhile...been so busy taking care of my mom...desserts...I love desserts...I just bought a blender and now will be able (hopefully) to make my own nondairy, vegan frozen desserts, using soy milk, instead of cow's milk...I have successfully stopped buying all dairy products since discovering that I may be allergic to milk and milk products, last year...

Yum! They look amazingly good, I doubt that I will find them in Glasgow but who knows. I am definitely on the look out for these!
