I'm running to work in the morning. It's only 15 minutes but I'm minimizing emissions by reducing my short car trips.

I love the body lotion, with it's fresh lemon smell and can't wait to try the lipstick. Help your world by using re-useable bags.

I've done nothing special this month, Alicia, I'm afraid! I always recycle though, switch off standby, turn off lights (they are low-energ anyway), mostly walk. Love your Kind Life, Miss Silverstone. Have a good day, everyone, and of course, Alicia. x.

I am beauty/makeup obsessed and I have been experimenting with different makeup and skincare products since I was about 12 years old, so when I found all my favorites, I never wanted to stray away from them! I wanted to be planet friendly but never seemed to make the switch...until NOW! I am completely replacing all my favorite beauty products for organic, environmental friendly ones! Most of the vegans I know do not like to wear much makeup, so I feel like I have never been able to ask much advice from them on all this, it is so nice to have your help! I have made the switch with my foundation and eyeshadow so far, and really wanted to try out your new purely kissable lip color and hopefully add this to my new makeup favs! =)

I have done 2 things already to help heal the planet: convinced my husband that Meatless Monday is a great idea (now working on Meatless Tuesday., Meatless Wednesday.....!) And stopped putting shirts., shorts and pants in the dryer - the apartment looks like a clothesline once a week but we,'re using less electricity, our clothes will last longer and they actually feel cleaner.

Thanks to the great food, my husband has been vegetarian for over a year now and I have been vegan going on 2 1/2 years. I am a high school teacher and am very honest with my students about why I am vegan (without getting preachy). I would love even more members of the younger generation to start taking animal rights and environmental problems more seriously. Not to mention all the health benefits. :)

I volunteer and conduct weekly arts & crafts lessons in my town for about 150 kids a week. I try to bring in nature and share some lessons about life with the kids. This year we painted shells that I collected at the beach and painted bird feeders. I gave each one of the kids a bag of bird feed to put in their feeders so they can start learning at a young age that loving and caring makes the world go round!

I've convinced my fiance' to eat less meat and gradually go vegan. I've made my soon-to-be in-laws much more aware of all of the many, many reasons to go vegan. I've arranged with my caterer to have a totally vegan wedding. At our wedding we're going to have environmentally friendly favors that will hopefully help to spread awareness of the issues we are facing with our food and what we are doing to our planet.

I've been working with my niece and nephews, trying to teach them about energy conservation. They've already learned about turning lights off and using natural light whenever possible, and now we are trying to tackle water usage. Letting the water run has been a pet-peeve of mine for years, especially while brushing teeth or washing dishes. Now, they turn the water on briefly, just to get their toothbrushes wet and to rinse! They even keep the water pressure down while washing their hands! Gotta start em young! :)

I started the team "Kickin It for Cows" for the Farm Sanctuary NYC Walk for Farm Animals taking place October 20th. I have been spreading the love to friends and co-workers and expect a great turnout! I have also been speaking to each interested person about the dangers and cruelty of factory farming...lots of them were shocked at what they heard, but I think that's the first step towards changing to a kinder more compassionate lifestyle. Xoxo!

I purchased eco-friendly shampoo and conditioner. Showered with my husband to save water! ;-) I recycle, recycle and recycle! I've got my job to really start recycling too! Thank you for this opportunity!

I've been really trying to get rid of all of the products in our house that are full of chemicals and not 100% cruelty free. You can catch me standing in the store asle looking at my phone checking whether or not a product tests on animals.

After watching the documentary "Bag It" about how all the plastic waste is hurting the Earth I have dramatically cut back on plastic bags and containers. I look for paper or glass packaging and no longer use plastic bags for groceries.

I teach at a private school, and teachers get free lunches. (Amazingly, one of the people in the kitchen is a vegan, and in addition to salad bar and fresh fruit every day, there's always a vegan option.) Rather than throwing away plates and utensils five times a week, I spent about $8 on a glass plate, bowl, mug, and cloth napkins that I can re-use. I wash the dishes at the sink in my classroom, and take the napkins home to throw in with the rest of the laundry. It takes about two minutes out of my day and the amount of waste I'm generating each week is significantly less.

I have been teaching my family more about recycling & we are trying to be more aware of what we throw in the trash-so far have cut back & our recycle bin is overflowing! Also we started a garden this summer & we are teaching our children about eating more fresh food.

Instead of weeding my garden, I planted other plants and flowers that compliment the weeds. They are all beautiful plants to me!

Lately I've really been trying to conserve water by taking shorter showers. I've realized how much water is wasted during long showers and I needed to make a change. Also if I ever have any leftover water in my reusable water bottle instead of dumping it down the drain I use it to water my house plants. I've even gotten my family on board with doing this! Water is such a precious resource that we all need to conserve.

Oh my gosh, you guys have some inspiring ideas! I particularly like the idea of switching to cloth napkins and asking your company to switch to reusable silverware - way to take a stand! So amazing that they listened too. What have I done? I recently switched to full vegan -- I had no idea how harmful I was still being to the environment by being a vegetarian! Small compared to a lot of you, and I know that a lot of my habits are not very Eco-friendly, but I'm learning every day! One thing I do is clean with vinegar -- that's it! Nothing else, the place looks great, mirrors have no streaks, there is no residue in the shower, and it's much more gentle on mother earth! Oh, and way cheaper. Soo happy my friend turned me onto to this gem of a tip

I've been making more of an effort when it comes to recycling, and I've also become more aware of litter and how it's not only gross but harmful to the environment. I try to make sure all of my trash is properly discarded, and reminding others to not litter. I'm also a huge makeup enthusiast and I've been researching more about companies who don't test on animals. I just purchased some vegan makeup brushes, and love them!

I was so happy to read that Juice Beauty products are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free!! Thanks for this giveaway, I'd love to try this lipstick, that color looks gorgeous in the photo.
