great hemp protein!
I recently discovered this brand of hemp protein called Living Harvest. They have a couple of great vegan products that I like - their Tempt Hempmilk is great, and I haven't tried the Tempt Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert, but it looks worth trying. They also have hemp protein powder.
I wanted to spread the word about them, especially because it's Hemp History Week.

My favourite hemp products are from Ruth's Foods, I eat them every day (and I'm not even vegan or vegetarian): organic Hemp Protein Powder with Sprouted Flax & Maca; organic Softhemp (shelled hemp seed); organic Hemp Oil; organic Hemp Protein Powder; and Ruth's Chia Goodness (made with chia, hemp, buckwheat & more). i've tried these; they're good. but i'm not too happy about them not being organic and as always those nut milk containers CAN'T be recycled :(

I tried Tempt a year or so ago when I was hooked on soy milk... I wasn't a huge fan. Then I heard about making your own hemp milk and tried that... SUPER easy and tasted WAY better than any stuff in the store! I purchased Navitas Naturals Raw Shelled Hemp Seeds, (but there are other brands out there,) and combined 1 part seed to 3 parts water & blended in the blender. You can use a cheese cloth to remove the seed that doesn't get blended, but I chose not to... It all settles to the bottom shortly anyway, plus I like the added nutrients I get by drinking that part too. It does have that 'earthy hemp' taste, but I love it! It can get a bit expensive if you use it a lot, so I recently bought another store brand for cost purposes~ blech! The home made stuff blows the store bought stuff away!

The non-dairy ice cream is so yummy and delicious. I bought the Coffee flavor and my boyfriend (an omnivore) tried it not knowing it was vegan and loved it!

I use a Hemp conditioner and body lotion that is really awesome. I can really see and feel the difference after using them :)

I use hemp hearts, hemp protein and tomorrow I am going to make hemp milk. I will let you know how it turns out. Love hemp though. Feel energized! :)

I LOVE tempt products and stock up on the vanilla frozen dessert whenever it's on sale. I agree the tempt milk is delicious too! I just wish US farmers could produce hemp so producers didn't have to import the raw materials from other countries in order to make and sell their products. It's legal to buy, sell and make in the USA, but it can't be farmed. Vote Hemp!

I haven't tried their other products, but did buy the mint chip ice cream and sorry to say - found it absolutely vile tasting! So I'm not impressed by them yet. But you never know about the other food...

I bought the Living Harvest original hemp protein powder, and I was quite disappointed in it. To me, it just tastes like dirt. Not exactly what I'm looking for in my smoothies...

I'm having a hard time getting hemp milk at the shops here in Cambridge, England, and i have to buy online. Will do soon though. Haven't tried any hemp products yet but i assume i'll like them. We'll see.

Hemp oil! It's deliciously nutty and sooo good for you! Better than ice cream substitutes (sorry but it is)...

I just recently tried the tepmt frozen ice cream-biscotti flavor and it was great. I have yet to try the other products they make but the ice cream rocked my world

First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy! I am new to this site, so just saw your post about being pregnant! Exciting times! You probably don't remember me, as I met you over 10 years ago, at the Golden Door!
In any case, I have been using the Living Harvest Hemp milks for awhile now...mainly in my smoothies, and LOVE them! I quit consuming most dairy products in January, so Hemp milk was one of the substitute milk products I've added to my pantry...along with almond, soy & rice!

I agree, the Tempt chocolate frozen dessert is amazing. It has a thick creamy texture much like dairy icecream.

My all-time favorite vegan ice cream is Tempt chocolate non-dairy frozen dessert. It's amazing!! Hmmm...maybe I'll request some from my hubby and kids for Mother's Day.

I have never tried *just* hemp by itself but I love Life's Basics Plant Protein, which does contain hemp_ =) I'll have to look into this!

I love using hemp protein powder and also use hemp seeds when I make Cheezy Hemp Nacho Sauce...a recipe by raw food guru Kristen Suzanne. She recently posted the recipe as a guest blog on my website. Here is the link if you are interested...it is SO GOOD!
