Happy 2013!
If you’re waking up to a hangover, here’s the recipe for my Cure All Tea. I know conventional wisdom says to eat greasy comfort food to ease a hangover, but that’s not going to help you! Drinking my tea and eating nourishing superhero food like miso soup, brown rice, and maybe a green juice will get you back to normal much faster.
I hope everyone’s enjoying the day off and looking forward to what’s to come. I’ll be sharing lots of superhero recipes this month. After a holiday season filled with naughty vegan fun food, I’m going back to being a stricter superhero. Who’s with me?!
I shared my goals for 2013 last week, in case you missed them!
What are your New Year’s resolutions?
Tell me in the comments below.

Hi ! Have just returned from yoga retreat where I wrote down at least two pages of new year's resolutions. On New Year's day we burnt them outdoors on a log fire!! Now I can't remember most of them!
Mostly I wish all of you (and myself) Love, light, joy and laughter in 2013! Also would like to serve others more, look deeper into who I really am and be totally vegan - anyone know a good substitute for Cadbury's chocolate !!

Yes! Would love to see more superhero recipes! Thats my "health tweak" for the New Year- would like to include more superhero meals into my everyday diet. -
I love everyone's posts. They are inspiring. I don't have any hard resolutions, but want to be less hard on self an do more of the things I love. Happy 2013. -
I want to be more eco-friendly this year-stop buying plastic bottles and using plastic bags. -
I have plenty of goals I'm continuing to work on but my New Year's Resolutions revolve around STOP these, START these:
STOP ...
- Too much or indulgent TV watching
- Negative, worrying and fear-based thought trains in my brain
- Spending time or energy on people that bring me down OR don't make me a priority
START/CONTINUE ...
- Thinking & acting from a place of personal power
- Living more each day "as if" with joy & love for all I encounter, including myself
- Living each day like my dreams are possible, that I'm worthy & deserving and who I am and what I do matters. And this includes finding ways each day to help others do the same - reclaim their lives and live like it matters -
Three New Year's resolutions for me: get more yoga in my life, cleaning or decluttering my life (especially the garage) of stuff I haven't used & eating mostly "clean". It's always good to have goals to work on & I've learned to make them doable & realistic. Happy New Year to all!!! -
Do go on and continue to inspire us with the superhero and vegan recipes! I have prepared most of our holiday dishes following yours adn the community's recipes and they have been all well received! We certainly had the most splendid holiday festivities! Just shows how food affects even the holiday spirits! -
Amazingly, I don't need any hang over tea but will save the recipe! I also tweeted it for my friends – just in case. My resolution is to eat more big salads for dinner, drink "green juice," and stretch more with my exercise. Thank you Alicia for all you do, inspiring us and spreading good will and cheer. We love you – you're the best!!!!! -

No hangover today but definitely lacking energy! Getting married in 12 weeks, so I need to get back to eating well. And exerciising regularly. It's so true that exercise creates energy. It also helps calm the mind....and I do not want to be a bridezilla! -
No hangover for me today, Miss Alicia, I only had half a bottle of beer last night! I AM interested in your hangover cure in case I need it in the future, lol! My resolution this year though is to eat better and stay away from alcohol permanantly. Have a great 2013, everybody, and of course, to the lovely Miss Silverstone! xo. -
Personally, I quit drinking alcohol AND smoking cigarettes 24 years ago this-coming March 19th~ergo~never a hangover here! ;-)
