Molly, my son has been on the homemade raw milk formula you're talking about for over 2 months and he's doing absolutely wonderful! We need to supplement when he hit a growth spurt at 5 months old, and we use local raw milk from a wonderful dairy farm nearby. I'm so thankful for the Weston A. Price Foundation and the scientists that developed this formula. It's such a great alternative to commercial, powdered formulas.

I've been vegetarian for about 2 years now, and vegan for a year and a half but have had some dairy and baked goods with dairy/eggs occasionally within that time. I confess that I do eat sugar and have eaten a lot of processed foods due to a crazy job schedule and simply trying to survive! So I haven't been a whole-foods plant based eater completely, although feel that I'm fairly healthy especially compared to how I was before. I am 33 weeks pregnant and 1 month ago was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I don't have any risk factors and am confused as to why I have GD. Any suggestions for maintaining a healthy, blood sugar balanced diet for the remainder of my pregnancy?

Hi my twins are 6 months old this week. Unfortunately due to major health issues and low milk supply, I have been supplementing with formula. I'm hesitant to start the babies on solids too soon before they might be ready. . I've heard allergies can be a result. On the other hand, I'd like to get them eating veggies soon to minimize the formula supplement as soon as possible.
We've also been giving an organic dairy formula but recently found out it was the one in the news that contained arsenic. We decided to switch to a lesser quality formula. In fact, I'm not really happy with any of the formulas on the market but I don't have much of a choice. Do you have any suggestions/alternatives? I found a receipe online for homemade formula but it's complicated and they suggest raw milk which I don't feel I know enough about. So for now we're stuck with packaged formula. Any suggestions would be appreciated. So looking forward to the chat!
