In talking to people about my Juice Beauty make-up collection, some people would tell me that they wished I would make more colors to match their skin tone. When I tell them the make-up works with every skin tone, people are often skeptical.
So, to show them what I’m talking about, I asked my team to collect some friends with different skin tones to prove that my Simply Flawless Pressed Powder, Irresistible Glow Facial Highlighter, and Purely Kissable Lip Color really do look great on everyone.

There were a lot of “wows” and “this is great!” It’s so nice to know they were all excited about how it was going on their skin and about how it looked.

Here are all of the ladies modeling the make-up. They have such pretty smiles, sweet eyes, and check out those dimples!

Kendall’s Favorite: “I absolutely loved the highlighter. It was soft enough that I didn't look like a clown, but just bright enough to bring out my cheekbones and give my pail skin a hint of color. I also love that it's not your ordinary blush powder (which also gives my skin a cakey look). The creamy illuminator is so much more appealing!”

Megan’s Favorite: “Love the powder! It's full coverage without feeling heavy or looking cakey.”

Faith’s Favorite: “I loved the lip color! It glided on silky smooth - almost like a balm - and the color is a beautiful sheer pink that I'd wear on the daily.”

Allison’s Favorite: “I loved the peachy pink color of the Juicy Beauty lipstick because it brought out warm, glowy tones in my olive skin. It's also a very versatile color, so I would feel comfortable wearing it all year round. It looks pretty when paired with a bold eye for a nighttime beauty look, or with natural makeup for an office-appropriate look. It's an everyday staple!”

Renee’s Favorite: “Out of the three make-up products, the powder was definitely my favorite. I was a bit skeptical at first, thinking it would look heavy and wouldn't match my skin tone. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it blended and instantly fell in love with the sheer coverage that was enough to cover any imperfections without making me my face feel too cakey.”
Thank you ladies for showing everyone that the Alicia Silverstone for Juice Beauty collection really does look great on all skin tones!!

Would love to try natural makeup, but the prices on your products are very high and way outside my budget. I just can't afford $12 for eye color or $20+ for powder and blush. Frankly, I just don't get why they're so expensive! -
Alicia, your makeup seems AWESOME, and I love how natural everyone looks in it.
Love you, love your site, so this is not meant to be negative, just to say -- whenever I try to link to a specific link on your blog (FB for example), it only links to your site, overall. While I think everyone should visit your site in general, is this a glitch?-
Hi Judi! That certainly should not be happening. How are you sharing the link? Are you copying the URL from your browser? If so, make sure to grab the URL from within the blog page, not the home page. It should look like this:

I love my Juice Beauty collection! At first I thought the powder was too dark for my skin tone but I actually think it gives me face a healthy glow! -
The fact is, NO make up line can cover EVERY skin tone that exsist. I'm glad Alicia came out with her natural line and for those who can utilize it, that's great! You are using a product that is all natural and eco friendly. And, maybe others can only use the lipstick, or just the blush, or just the powder. If you can't use Alicia's line, try some of the other natural products she has promoted! Best wishes~-
Well I feel that I can allow myself to make a purchase now(thanks Cathy!), but you're right. Not every make-up will work for every tone. But as a brown skinned woman it can be tiring, insulting and hurtful to be a second thought when a product is being produced. I am so glad that she has a natural line too...but I am now happy that I can with good conscience put my money towards a product line that actually has me in mind(not just, "oh, well why don't you guys just try the lip gloss". Not jumping down anyone's throat, but it IS a sensitive issue for many DARK women. I'd like to have the chance to be organic inside and out just like everyone else. That is all! :o)

I do not have a photo to post but wanted to put my 2 cents in! I am an over 60 year old who no longer wears much make-up at all (ie foundation, powders.) I now use Alicia's highlighter and lipstick every day; it's the perfect boost for my pale olive complexion. My skin is dry and often dull. The highlighter perks it up just enough to polish my appearance and the lipstick is amazing. I love the scent and the packaging...thanks, Alicia for such a great product. -
I would have loved to see someone dark like me. I am absolutely about natural products and I want to try the juice beauty line...but I feel that women of color are always an after thought. The makeup line seems wonderful but I find it difficult believe that it will blend in with my tones. I already emailed the company about my concern, received a nice enough response...but a year later I still don't see a foundation or powder for women like me. Just my thoughts.anyone can make a lipstick work with the right blending technique but foundation is different. Please just work on not excluding another market...group of women....US...ME. Thanks. -
I have tried Alicia's lipstick which I love and the pressed powder which I so wanted to love but couldn't. Pros: it went on smoothly and lasted the day. Cons: the color was off for me. My tone is on the ivory side and this tended to look a little orange on me. I really wanted it to work, but unfortunately, it didn't. -
I have to agree with many of the posters here regarding the girls' complexions. They all had warm toned skin of different shades, none appeared to have had cooler or neutral tones. Also it is unknown what their skins types are- dry/normal/oily. I also think that it would have been nice to have seen someone with darker skin- African, Sub-continental, South American, etc. -
I agree with a few of the posters, a wider range of skin tones would've been good to see. So far I have only tried the lipstick and while it did in fact make my lips feel waaay smoother, the color did not go well with my skin tone at all. I am Dominican and have tan skin and the lipstick was more of a pale pink than peachy pink once I applied it. That made me choose not to try the other products in the line. I would really love to see even just more lipstick colors because it does do a nice job of softening the lips. -
For Christmas my husband got me the whole collection. I have my likes and dislikes. The powder blends in well to my Italian skin tone but only a few hours later it caked into every oily crease I have. So If you have oily skin please avoid. The highlighter is nice, a better alternative to most chemically made ones. The lip color was awful on me, i liked everything about it other than it was a horrible color choice for me. The moisturizer has been awesome. I'm Very oily and have yet to break out from it -
We tried to pick a good mix of girls for the shoot (from The Kind Life team and their friends). Faith is Chinese, Renee is Korean, Allison is a mix of European nationalities, Kendall is German/Swedish/Danish, and Megan is Hawaiian/Portuguese/Puerto Rican/Native American/African American/Spanish/Russian/Jewish! It might just be the lighting that makes them all look similar?
I look forward to seeing all of your photos!! -
is it possible to get the products in europe! i'd love to try them but i can't find a way to buy them :(-
-
thank you! can't buy directly via juicebeauty but they have also an european online-shop where I can get their products! http://www.naturisimo.com

I love these products they work great on me. My profile picture shows me wearing the powder and the lip color. I wear the color stick as well, but not when I use juice beauty liquid foundation as it becomes to oily for my skin type. My friend said that she "broke out", but that might have been one or two spots I never actually saw her after she started using the makeup and really with longer use it may of chaged. I will say this she is Filipino/Italian and her complextion is a bit darker than Megans in the above picture and it looked great on her as well. -
I think this blog was the best selling job ever. Now after seeing this, I'm definitely going to try it. The lip color is the thing I'm most excited to try as well! -
I'm sorry but I don't see how this shows the makeup works with all skin tones when there is not one model in the line up with dark skin. I see the girls with olive skin tones but why is there no African Americans used or someone with dark skin???? The title of this ad in know way is proven buy the limited skin tones of the models used. -
Unfortunately while I really liked the way the makeup felt and made my skin look when it was applied (which was like I wasn't wearing any makeup at all!) it someone also managed to make me breakout horribly, like I haven't in years. So unfortunately I'll have to discontinue using it. :(
(Added bonus though, it also smells great! - Just hope you don't have the same reaction I did.) -
i love the way the lip color feels, but i wish it was a little darker. my natural lips are much redder, so it looks weird and cakey on me. it is too light for me. -
Wow they all look so gorgeous.
I'd really love to try these products. Is there anywhere I can purchase them from that they can be shipped internationally? -
