Kind lifer Harlot DeVille has a whole new life now that she's gone from vegetarian to vegan. Check it out:
"I had been vegetarian since I was 13 years old. Over the years I had terrible pain, stomach cramps, migraines, serious acne, and oftentimes fainting spells too. I attended doctors for over 15 years to try and solve my mystery ailment. I was then diagnosed with both Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Endometriosis. My doctor advised that it would be best to undergo hormone treatment and possibly a hysterectomy. At 29, there was no way I wanted to choose either option. I did a lot of research and discovered that dairy played a huge factor in my symptoms; it was then that I made the decision to become vegan. The difference was remarkable. So much so that most of my ovarian cysts disappeared, my energy levels improved greatly, my emotions balanced, my skin cleared up and my migraines disappeared. I was able to socialize again, without being conscious of my skin. I was also free from pain. I cannot recommend this enough to anyone dealing with PMS, PCOS or Endo. Becoming vegan really did change my life."

vegan is no animal products whatsoever. so yes, no milk or eggs, but also no butter or cheese or milk derivative. that is the most simplistic def. of vegan diet, but most vegans also consider leather a no-no, as well as any other animal product even if it is not consumed. -

Jen, what is BPA? I have fibromyalgia and pain 24/7. I will try anything? Is this the stuff in plastic that we should avoid? Any info and suggestions welcome and congrats on your great success!!! -
I too have endometriosis and although not PCOS, i still have cycsts often. i was already a healthly vegan, but it wasn't until i got off of hormonal contraceptives, and stopped buying food in BPA cans that i was able to do something as simple as exercise without feeling like i hitting myself in the abdomen. of course every doctor i've ever seen is befuddled by this as they generally prescribe hormonal birth control to 'cure' cysts and endo. theres a good amount of research out there about the links between BPA and endometriosis, and sadly, BPA is really hard to avoid- its even in recycled toilet paper! -
This is really interesting. I've recently found out that I have cysts on my ovaries, 25 in fact but although I have all the symptoms of PCOS my doctor informs me that in fact I do not have the syndrome. I've been vegan for 2 years, vegetarian my whole life and since becoming vegan I have felt better physically and emotionally. Thank you for sharing your story, it's given me hope that maybe with time my malfunctioning lady bits will heal themselves. xx -
Thank you for sharing this! I was having severe symptoms for a while. I finally was diagnosed with Endo last Monday! I too, have been trying to cut dairy out! Thank you for the extra motivation!
