My Vamps co-star Krsyten Ritter recently sent me this picture of seaweed rice cakes, made by Lundberg Family Farms! They are organic and non-GMO. Yum!
Have you tried them?

I'm new to "kind life-ing" and am always looking for new kind snacks, thank you for sharing all these wonderful tips. I love this site!
On another note, I can't wait to see Vamps! I'm an interior designer in Dallas, but am involved with an independent film company on the side. We made a vampire movie in 2008, The Devil's Gravestone, and it was recently released in the US with an ON DEMAND deal. If you would like to support a fellow kind lifer, please check out our website for more information about the film and your cable provider's ON DEMAND listings for The Devil's Gravestone. We would appreciate your support!

I found the tamari seaweed at Whole Foods this afternoon but didn't get them because they have brown rice syrup in them. I was thinking they'd be savory and not sweet. Are these sweetened, too?
Found them on their site -- they have cane juice: http://www.lundberg.com/products/rice_cakes/organic_rice_cakes/Organic_Koku_Seaweed_Rice_Cakes.aspx
Also saw that they have mochi, which aren't sweetened, but are called sweet because of the type of rice: http://www.lundberg.com/products/rice_cakes/organic_rice_cakes/Organic_Mochi_Sweet_Rice_Cakes.aspx
It's a shame the seaweeds are sweetened. I like the Mother's brand plain jane unsalted rice cakes.
On the seaweed front, bought these tonight but haven't tried yet: http://www.anniechun.com/our-food/seaweed-snacks/sesame

Hey Marjorie,
Have you tried MacroBars? http://www.gomacro.com/site/our_food/
They are macrobiotic and I love em. They have them at whole foods.

I love good snack food suggestions because I get stuck in the pita chips and hummus or chips and salsa rut and I like having new options to try. Definitely getting a bag on my next trip to Whole Foods!
