Christy, I share your desire for more affordable eco-friendly options. Personally, I think a lot of companies are capitalizing on people's desires to be eco-friendly. I have started shopping at thrift stores more. And I also just try to extend the life of the clothes that I have, by not using harsh detergents (I use soap nuts) and line drying as much as possible. -
I always have high hopes when I check out this site. The information is certainly good...but often the products highlighted are generally out of reach for most people. I don't have the luxury of spending $180 on bamboo sunglasses. It would be so nice if there were more reasonably priced items. I am a dedicated vegetarian and I try to buy cruelty free whenever possible. But it would be so nice if there were more affordable options. Does anyone have any suggestions?

This is unrelated - But i'm hoping since this is your most recent post you will see this and fill in the blank for me. I have been interested in a home composter since you posted it on this site long ago. But i live in apartment and i have done some googling and still cannot find the step between my scraps going into the composter, then 3 days later i pull the bag out and it goes ...where? I can't exactly have it on my patio, because i'm concerned that would attract bugs. So once i take it out of the Full Circle container what do i do with it until it's ready to be used? Open Sky has free shipping today so i'd really like to purchase it today.

Burger King pledges that by 2017 all of it's eggs and pork products will come from cage free and crate free animals. A very tiny and long overdue step, but a step in the right direction nonetheless. Not that I would touch any fast food product with a 10 ft pole, but a lot of people do.
