Kind Lifer Rachel recently asked me about my favorite beauty products and where to get the best facial in LA. For the facial, I hands down recommend Terri Lawton in West Hollywood! She's expensive, but so worth it. If you are needing serious skin help, go to Terri.
If you just want yummy regular facials to feel nice and clean your skin, the best lady in town is Sophia Marzocchi in Venice. She has a 100% vegan, all-natural, organic facial! She is lovely and pretty, and has amazing hands. So, if you are a facial person, see her. If you have skin issues that are just driving you crazy, see Terri.

I loved Dr. Hauschka at one time too until I looked on the environmental working groups website and found most of their products are very high in carcinogenic ingredients. Have been using Alicia's products but do miss the Rose Day Cream. So hard to find items rated okay on EWG's list. -

Tata Harper is expensive but amazing. You can try samples of her products through Spirit Beauty Lounge's website. Also, for toothpaste, we like Natural Essence mint and tea tree. I really like that it's fluoride-free.

As I have mentioned before, I am a Dr.Hauschka snob. One of their most amazing products is the Normalizing Day Oil. It is great for the summer, for an oily or acneic skin type as it works homeopathically at balancing the production of oil. Check this and other Dr.Hauschka products out at www.earthelegant.com.

I love everything at Simply Pure Products! I have curly hair and when I get out of the shower I spray the hair spray, lighlty scrunch my hair and it keeps lovely, soft curls all day. I also am in love with the Herbal Ice condioner. I have always had a terribly dry scalp (embaressing) but this product has really changed my scalp, no more embarrassment! Their makeup is lovely as well as is all their yummy lotions and soaps. They make all natural deodorants and even an all natural, safe "sensous massage" oil.

I am soooo in love with LUSH Fresh Cosmetics. All the products are vegetarian, and a lot of them are vegan, the vegan ones being clearly labeled (the ones that are not vegan are made with fair trade and organic honey). The company has great values and do a lot of activist activities for the environment and animal causes. Their products are hands down the best I have ever used. They are very conscious about packaging so many of their items do not have any, the ones that do are made from 100% recycled materials, and they collect empty containers at the store to be recycled again. I highly recomend going to LUSH. They have retail stores or you can shop online.

I love Alba Aloe and Green Tea oil-free moisturizer and the Alba Jasmine & Vitamin E Moisture Cream. They are both part of Alba's Hawaiian Collection. Avalon Organics Vitamin C rejuvenating oil-free moisturizer and Avalon Organics Vitamin C Vitality Facial Serum is really good too.
Tom's of Maine Natural Deodorant Bar with odor fighting sage is really, really great.
Jason Fragrance Free Satin Soap is awesome.
NutriBiotic Original Non-Soap Skin Cleanser is definitely one of my favorites.
All Terrain Performance Sunblock TerraSport SPF 30+ is really good. It is No Slip and Dry Grip, Water/Sweat Resistant Broad Spectrum UVA UVB Protection.

I recently fell in love with Booda Butter Lip Balm. It's the best vegan lip balm in existence. I highly recommend it.

Oh, and I forgot... if you live in the Worcester area in MA, The Body Fixx/Applegate's Health Center in Upton, MA is great. It's a joint chiropractic and massage therapy center, and they also have an aestician. They use all natural products - you can get facials, "back facials", have waxing done, etc. Everyone is super nice and they do a really good job.

I really love Nature's Gate. The tea tree oil shampoo really helps with my dandruff, and their other products are really great too. I also love the papaya body lotion.
On Etsy, you can buy vegan shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that's handmade from GudonyaToo. They have so many yummy scents - I have a Pumpkin Caramel Cheesecake cream shampoo. It smells soooo good - it's perfect for when I come home from a stressful day at work and take a shower.

I'm a hairstylist and was just introduced to a new line(to me) of vegan hair care products. They are organic too, the name is DermOrganic. They are an Argan Oil base and are made in Santa Clarita, CA You can go to www.dermorganic.com They only list the basics there, Shampoo, Masque and Leave-in Treatment. They do also have styling aids too. They are wonderful! I must be allergic to something in most other shampoo/conditioners because I always had a bit of an itch and found that when I switched to this line of products the itch is COMPLETELY gone! YAY, VEGAN!!!!!
