Every time I see my friend Doug from Organic Avenue (see my blog about him here), I am just blown away by how cute his outfits are! They are always green, and he has some incredible ensembles. So, I harassed him into taking some pictures of his outfits, and this is what he sent me.

He loves wearing clothes made by Loomstate, an eco-clothing brand. Loomstate's clothes are made from 100% certified organic materials, and all Loomstate factory partners are required to adhere to a code of conduct ensuring responsible manufacturing processes. They really care about social and environmental responsibility, but they also care about great design. It's rare to find a company that combines the two, especially for dudes (they have women's clothes too).

What are your favorite eco-clothing companies?

I would recommend the following two sites:

I like:
Synergy http://synergyorganicclothing.com
bgreen http://bgreenapparel.com/
Ecoland http://www.ecolandinc.com/
American Apparel http://store.americanapparel.net/women-organics.html
I also have a major crush on Aventura Clothing. I haven't saved up enough dough to buy any of their clothes yet, but I tried on a pair of their pants and they were soooo cute and comfy http://www.aventuraclothing.com/
It's really hard to find affordable, eco-friendly and vegan office appropriate attire. Does anyone have suggestions of places to look? Usually I end up buying Old Navy (not eco friendly) or hitting up Buffalo Exchange.

Loomstate is a beautiful company with great apparel...But they are a bit on the expensive side...Check out www.greenappleactive.com for more affordable super cozy organic & vegan clothing...It is casual/active lifestyle apparel made form organic cotton & organically grown bamboo...I am a lifelong vegetarian/vegan and very proud to be part of a company that supports sustainable ideals! (Oh, and BTW, our men's line will be out soon..) Blessings~

I really like this stuff a lot, it's too bad they don't have a less expensive branch haha. Very very nice though.

My absolute favorite is barley & birch! The founder, Kyle Smitley is passionate about making sure the clothing is produced as environmentally friendly as possible, and she gives part of her profits to charity, as well as to offset her carbon emissions. They are currently a children's clothing company, but will be adding an adult clothing line soon. They just recently launched their online store and they are selling shirts and onesies for as little as $3!!!! Also, they have super cute planet saving tees for adults and children where 100% of the purchase price is donated to various causes depending on the shirt you buy.

I'm pretty sure most people have gotten this point across but:

The clothes are so cute but they are way out of my league financial so I can't really contribute much.
