This is so amazing. My house burned down in 04' and the firemen brought my cat out on the front lawn and put a little face mask on her so she could breathe. She got her picture in the newspaper and they saved her life! -

I love them all and the men and women who do this job. My fav is the cat on the woman rescuer's shoulder. The cat looks scared and thankful at once. The men getting the animals out of the waters are great too, especially the air lift.

I like them all ^^ but my favorite is the picture of the ducklings. I've read many stories about ducklings falling into manholes while following their mother duck to the other side of a road. This is one of the reasons I'm against the construction of new roads that divide wildlife habitats.

Beautiful! My kids enjoyed looking at these as well. My 5 year old says she wants to be an animal rescuer when she grows up :)

It is wonderful to see the faces of the people who take the effort to save the life of an animal. It is our job to take care of animals and protect them.

My favorite is the last picture, the dog being rescued from the waves. The look on the dogs face goes right through me. By the look of his fur he had gone under a few times and was struggling and he is looking at the man with grateful disbelief. All the pics were great, i liked all of the other favs that were posted, too! BTW I grew up in the Pacific so I can relate to fighting those waves and currents. NOT easy!

Wow... what a way to start the morning! I almost had tears in my eyes looking through all those photos. The koala pic is definitely my favorite... Thank you to all the rescuers in these photos and elsewhere... So heartwarming.

Love, love, love this posting. I have a special place in my heart for pit bulls (I have 5 rescued ones) so I have to say that the pittie in the second picture is my favorite. They are all beautiful and this is my absolute favorite posting ever. Thank you for this. xoxoxoxox

They are all wonderful, but my favorite is the black and white photo of the soilder in the midst of war taking care of an abandoned kitty.

It is so hard to choose, but the B & W pic of the military man is very touching!
