Have you heard of Pura Vida Bracelets?
These colorful bracelets made by local artisans in Costa Rica make the ideal fashion accessory. They come in a range of styles so you can get yours braided or beaded, in platinum or gold.
Each bracelet is individually handcrafted. Local jewelers spend days, sometimes even weeks, designing each one, ensuring uniqueness and optimal quality. Did you know that in addition to providing full time jobs for local artisans in Costa Rica, Pura Vida Bracelets also make an effort to give back in other ways?
The Charity Collection features a range of bracelets that support a myriad of causes from Cancer Awareness to Best Friends Animal Society. So if there’s a cause close to your heart, you can make a statement by wearing Pura Vida Bracelets.
Pura Vida is also a member of One Percent for the Planet and donates a portion of its proceeds to the Surfrider Foundation, which is dedicated to cleaning up beaches and oceans around the world.

Just a heads up to anyone thinking of ordering these bracelets. I received mine today and was very disappointed. They are cheaply made. The string is sticky and waxy and the ends have been burnt into unsightly blobs to avoid fraying. They look nothing like the pictures and the website has a strict no return policy. Oh, well. -
I was disappointed to find out that pura vida is selling pink bracelets with proceeds going to susan g koman for the cure, which funds animal testing.I had jumped to the conclusion that they were cruelty free when I saw they had your support. -
@javier: just try the coupon. i did it yesterday and it worked!

Thanks for the spotlight on these wonderful bracelets today, Alicia! I ordered some tonight, including one for poly cystic kidney disease awareness. I will wear it in support of my husband who has this disease, as a reminder to continue to make people aware of the disease and hope for a prolonged life for PKD sufferers and, someday, a cure. -
I like the bracelets, Alicia, and all made with good causes in mind. Did you know that the Antarctic is under threat from pollution now, Alicia and everyone? I listened to a new report today about the eco hazards there. The wildlife may soon be in danger. Anyway, love your site, Miss Silverstone and have a lovely day, xo! -
I have several of these PURAVIDA bracelets! They are small in cost and large at heart...I was able to afford many of them and donate to many charities! I even picked up the NEGU(Never Ever Give Up) and SADS(Students Against Distructive Decisions) for my son. We talked about the story and the charities and what they meant to wear and donate to. He was so proud and went to school sharing the stories!
