the best veggie burger in LA!
I had the yummiest veggie burger today from O Burger in West Hollywood. The burger was handmade with roasted corn, and it was crispy. It was layered with all of these great veggies, and they had a choice of vegan sauces to go on it, including a vegan thousand island and a vegan chipotle - I chose the thousand island. It was fantastic!
Now, I haven't really scoured LA for veggie burgers, but of all of the ones I've tried, this was hands down the best. It wasn't too garlicky, it was just good! They also make vegan milkshakes and salads.
The only bummer about this place is that they do serve meat. But the owner of the restaurant only buys meat from organic farms, etc"¦ not ideal at all, but it's a step in the right direction. Hopefully, one day, they'll stop using meat altogether. Maybe if everyone storms the building ordering veggie burgers, he will realize he doesn't need the meat!

Can't remember if I've seen this on Kind blogs before, but the Chicago Diner will blow your mind. I dream about their chicken fried steak and cream gravy. I never even liked chicken fried steak before I became vegan! You will not be disappointed if you're in Chicago and need a vegan meal.

The best veggie burger is Burger Lounge in San Diego/La Jolla. Blows the Counter out of the water.....yummy.

The absolute BEST vegan veggie burger I had was at The Chicago Diner - their blackbean burger. Seriously, it is the stuff dreams are made from; that and their peanut butter cookie dough milkshake -- I want to move to Chicago just so I can eat there more often, lol. Triple Rock in MPLS is pretty nummy too!

The Counter makes a very nice veggie burger. It has brown rice, veggies and cranberries. No soy or processed stuff. I like their set up, because you can get it burger style or on top of a salad.

I second Karen's recommendation of the Counter. I live in Pasadena CA and that is my favorite veggie burger by far. I just read this article and suggested to my girlfriend that we track down the O Burger restaurant though.

We went to LA a week ago and came across O Burger, what a blessed day it was!!! I had the veggie burger and it was to die for! It was so fresh, healty, crispy and tasty. The owner is from South Africa too, he is very friendly. Andy is a very health consious chef and you will only get the best burgers there. I wanted a veggie burger for dinner too.... Please go and visit O Burger when you are in LA, you won't be sorry!

One of the most amazing veggie burger experiences I ever had was in the UK in the late 80s (I've been veg a LONG TIME, y'all) -- there's a chain restaurant called Wimpy that does a spicy bean burger and it was the most yummy thing when I had it -- beans and veggies and so delicius. In NYC, Blossom Cafe has a great vegan bacon cheeseburger that's great. I with they served sandwiches at all their locations, but for now they only carry them at the cafe on the UWS :(

My favorite here in LA is the Veggie Grill. Its huge and delicious and the sweet potato fries are super duper awesome!!!

The Counter in Palo Alto makes a very good veggie burger. Don't forget the sweet potato fries!

Orean Express in Pasadena. Orean has been running a fast food, vegetarian restaurant since the early-mid 90's. The Orean Burger with Soy Cheese is amazing. Everytime I visit LA I have to make a stop there...it's across from Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles on Lake Blvd.

There is only one vegetarian restaurant in San Antonio and it's fantastic! It's called Green (and they have a great barbecue cheddar burger: ) )

Haha, i'm in the U.K(England) too. (Linda MaCartney is not all we eat here, haha. And i've never heard the word 'patty' used here either.' lol.
I much prefer eating at home. The best veggie burgers brought from shops i think, are the spicy bean burgers with nacho and bread-crumb thingys. Yum.
I haven't tried making veggie burgers from scratch at home yet. My mum makes all sorts from tofu and quorn products. But i've always preferred the vegetable burgers.
Now that's what i'm craving.
Also, that sounds like a good idea. I swear if i was in L.A i would storm that restaurant and eat loads of veggie burgers.

When I lived in Austin, Texas, you could get a decent veggie burger almost anywhere. I'm now living in rural New Hampshire, so I have to get frozen veggie burgers from the health food store. Hey, I'm grateful there's a health food store here!!!

The Wild Cow Vegetarian Restaurant in Nashville, TN has an amazing veggie burger. Monday is Burgers and Beer Night! Actually, everything is vegan unless you request dairy cheese. Desserts are amazing as well.

It isn't vegan, but my favorite is the veggie burger from the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Indianapolis. It has grilled zucchini and squash on it. They also put their own salsa on it. It is really good. And it's not a veggie burger at all, but they have a Mediterranean burger that is just a bunch of vegetables and feta on a bun.

My flatbuddies who are big meat eaters have liver problems as they eat meat all the time and I am trying to wean them onto a veggie diet. In the UK we have Stella McCarthy's veggie sausages and burger patties which are excellent. The only thing with a vegan/ vegetarian diet that concerns me is that you make sure that you are getting all your nutrients and are healthy :)

In Atlanta, the best veggie burger is at Grindhouse in the Sweet Auburn Curb Market-yes, they do serve meat, but this veggie burger, made with beans and quinoa, is incredible.
