I just saw the opening performance by the band Fun (feat. Janelle Monae) from last night's MTV Movie Awards - what a great performance! The lead singer (Nate Ruess), was just so good! Loved the outfits and the dancing he did. It made me smile the whole time.

I have seen them in concert 5 times, since before their first album even came out! I am so thrilled that they are taking off like this and people are appreciating their music. Just like their namesake, they ARE fun!However, they have such BETTER songs than this one. I'm actually kind of tired of this "We Are Young" song. If you like it, though, check out some of their other stuff. From their album "Aim And Ignite" my favorites are, "Walking the Dog", "Benson Hedges" and "Be Calm". From the new album, the title track, "Some Nights" is epic. Also love "Carry On" "It Gets Better" and "One Foot". Then go to one of their shows!

I just saw these guys live about three weeks ago here, in DC, at the 9:30Club. To see their whole set was so insiring. Sadly, Janelle was not with them but oh my goodness: Wow!

Nate Ruess was the lead singer of a band called The Format in the early 2000's. Their music always made me smile as well. If you enjoyed this clip, I recommend you check them out!

I do love that song - never bothered to see what the band looks like. Which is typical for me, I'm not much of a TV person. What geeks they are. I LOVE IT! LOL
