If raw is your thing, here's a fun culinary treat to check out...raw vegan chefs Sophie and Dani are teaching a series of cooking classes in LA, starting tomorrow, June 24 at 6:30pm. From there, they'll be teaching classes once a month through September (details on the flyer above). To sign up, call 310.291.5266 or email Sophie and Dani at zuddhagirls@gmail.com.
Are you planning to enroll in any cooking classes this summer? What kind?

Mistah-- no clue where you got that we use crab meat?!!? All our recipes are COMPLETELY raw and vegan except for a little honey sometimes. Where did you see that? ;) so funny! -Sophie (1/2 of the Zuddhagirls)

I live in Chicago, I'd really love to find some cooking classes in the city. It'd be great. It makes me so envious when I see these postings from Alicia that I don't live in those cities! :p

My email is tetreauy@gmail.com. Send me an email and I will reply with her contact information. She said that the class is awesome and everything tastes really good :)

Oh, I so wished I lived in LA so I could take that class. I'm enrolled in summer classes right now. One is a math class and the other is an internship with the Peoria County Sherriffs Department (:
Love,

I don't get it. One of their cooking demonstrations has crab meat in it. Are they vegan or what?

Katie,
My sister lives in central Maine and she and my mother attend a raw foods class there. If you want, I can give you her contact information... Let me know,

Again, it isn't fair that there are so few classes like this in NYC (if any!)
Can anyone do some research to find something similar for us Eastcoasters? I took 1 Vegan cooking class but haven't seen any others listed so perhaps you could find some for us - and for other states as well? That would be a beautiful and tasty treat!

agh. it is soooo painful that I live in the middle of Maine. I would totally go to this class. I'm gluten free and my vegan adventure has been a hard one :/ I think this would make it easier. Does this woman have a website or a book with recipes we could try?

I have always been intrigued by the raw food trend and wanted to jump on board. I'm thinking I'll have to try and come up with some good raw recipes now to see how it works out. I'm going to the farmer's market tomorrow. Any suggestions of where to start for a raw meal?

Wish they would film it and put it online! I'm in Michigan and we don't have a lot of options here :(

Does anyone know if someone has classes in the Southwest Missouri? I would like to go to one.

These classes sound great. I'm near Boston and go to Warren K's classes. He has one coming up summer desserts and beverages. Cooking classes are a great way to become comfortable and fluent in the kitchen. I love them.

AWESOME. I teach raw food classes in Michigan. It's wonderful to know more and more classes are being taught out there. : )

ooh! that'd be so fun, but I'm in NorCal (Bay Area)... and don't think I can get to LA this summer..been fully raw since last September and loving it. But I still don't do a lot of "uncooking" on my own, I buy most of my products.. however, I do have a few raw "cook"books and summer might be the perfect time to get into those!

That looks so fun...I wished I could go, but the kids are out of school for the summer, so it is time to focus on them :-)
