I have read Diet for a New America, gone through the Vegetarian starter packet, volunteered for animal rights groups, been to countless vegetarians reasturants and compassionate shops, and the #1 resource I have found for potential vegans is Veganism in a nutshell.

I have found that not only does Bruce answer every question I ever had about veganism but he volunteers a lot of simple to digest ;) info about veganism, for human health, the environment, animal welfare and overall moral justice. You can download it on mp3 and listen to it anywhere, or you can just browse the sections you are interested in :)

I also found The Vegetarian Resource Group www.vrg.org They are amazing, Charley answers any and all quesitons you may have and they even hook you up with a online mentor whom you can ask any questions that you may have. They send you out a Vegan Starter Kit, and at the end of your pledge(1wk, Month etc) they send you a Certificate...thet are truly dedicated to getting the word out there and educating as many people as possible.
Just another suggestion!!

I also love the VRG. I'll go ahead and plug a few more resources for potential vegans, if you don't mind!

Becoming Vegan by Brenda Davis and Vesanto Melina

Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine

These resources were so useful in my transition. I still reference them all the time for nutrition information.
