All this organic talk has made me dizzy. I sort of got the impression that the difference was that you had to wash your vegetables really well in a sink with lots of water and a tablespoon of bleach, or vinegar.

Well who knew there was a much ... no IMMENSELY greater reason to buy organic?!!!

I watched a documentary (through Netflix) called "The Furture of Food". Please don't listen to me, see for yourself and rent it! So it turns out that there are all these genetically modified produce, and grain being cultivated by this gigantic corporation. What is the scary thing about that? Well when they genetically alter a seed so that the pesticide is built into the actual freshly grown food, they also have to inject bacteria and viruses.. and also anti-biotic markers.

NO GMO genetically modified organisms are not regulated against our own scientists warnings. Europe demands labeling products with GMOs and USA does not! Japan has found we sold them GMO wheat and stopped buying.

USDA organics means no Genetically Modified bactieria, virus, antibiotic, sewage sludge ect. But it usually costs ya. And it isn't always available. I found a local USDA Organic farm. For 22 weeks of the year I can have 3/4 veg/fuit needs of a family of 4 for about 25.00 per week. I spend almost double that on non organic produce now.

We are not robots and have to power to change this and people are catching on. I thought I was pretty informed. This has been going on under our noses and WAS NOT happening in the 80's. This all started in the 90's. It is causing a lot of polution, disease, ect.

This is the reason we as a nation are getting all these illnesses and diseases. Our children are all sick. PLEASE look for an organic co-op. Please watch that movie!
