There is a fantastic raw food shake shop on Franklin Street next to the Upright Citizen's Brigade.

The Spot in Hermosa Beach and Green Temple in Redondo Beach are my local faves (beach cities)! they are similar in some of their core recipes (creamed tofu sauce, veggie burgers, herbed vinaigrette) but the spot has huge portions and is generally more of a laid-back mexican joint (serve organic beer and wine) while the green temple (outdoor patio with billowing saris and fountain) has smaller portion options, is easier to mix an match and has a bunch of juices, teas and elixirs.http://www.worldfamousspot.com/

AND Gina Lee's Bistro in Redondo has a delish vegetarian menu available on requesthttp://ginaleesbistro.blogspot.com/

Ok, I am not lovin' the raw food. I've been to two restaurants. I like raw food, but I'm not liking the way raw food is used to simulate "cooked" options like "pizza."

Any ideas on raw food restaurants? I'd like to check a few more out.

There is Euphoria Loves Rawvolution on Main Street in Santa Monica. And Juliano's Raw on Broadway in SM.
I posted this in the other LA blog, but Urth Caffe has great vegan options and the atmosphere is wonderful! Also Aroma Cafe in Studio City and Alcove in Silver Lake. Both very yummy and with vegan options!
ps can we talk about how BEAUTIFUL it has been the last few days...so clear! You could see Catalina and Palos Verdes perfectly a couple of days ago...amazing!!!
