Hi All! So I stumbled upon this website and I am in LOVE. :)

I stopped eating red meat and poultry about a year ago, and I am very interested in becoming vegan. However, I'm not sure if it will be a stressful addition to my three existing health-related goals, all to be met in the next 4 months or so:

1) Training for my first half marathon (end of January)
2) Losing about 20 pounds so that I can better...
3) ...prepare my body for trying to have my first baby.

Please share your opinions/suggestions! Am I making a mountain out of a molehill?

I think veganism is a great addition to those goals. It shouldn't add any stress to achieving those goals, because you will feel SO MUCH better and have tons ore energy. Have you read The Kind Diet yet?

Books books books! You can absolutely add veganism as a goal, just find the right books/blogs.

www.drmcgougall.com is a good place to start for tips on a healthy vegan weight loss diet and for recipies check out www.happyherbivore.com and Google Fat Free Vegan Kitchen because that blog is GREAT!

And of course, The Kind Diet. I blew through it this weekend and it is great. A perfect book for sombody who wants to be vegan but is not sure on how to make the transition.
