Waaaaaaaaiiit a minute - LOL - Carrie, you've found something that battles dryness really well? That is SUCH a problem for me here in Chicago, I can't seem to humidify my hair enough, ever! Dry dry dry! I will absolutely find a way to spend the bucks for Aveda if it's finally going to be something that works...

Karen, yes Aveda Dry Remedy. It has burutri oil in it, and it's fabulous! You only need a little bit because it lathers well with a lot of lathering and adding a bit more water to your scalp, so even though it's expensive it should last longer than other shampoos. The dry remedy brought my hair from zero to hero!
Alaska is super dry too!

The new line from Loreal called EverPure is labeled VEGAN!

Remember just because something is labeled Vegan doesn't mean it's perfectly good for you! Read those labels!!! Harmful chemicals may be vegan and they may be in some of these products you've mentioned.

Huh, never thought of that cause I use Pureology alot and it says vegan on it. I know its sulfate free. Wonder how good it really is. I've heard good things about John Masters organics haircare line too.

My scalp gets really itchy and it's very sensitive. Currently, I'm using Aveda Scalp Benefits shampoo and conditioner, but I'm always looking for something new. Has anyone tried Earth Science or Desert Essence fragrance free shampoo and conditioner? If so, has it helped with itchiness or sensitivity? I've also tried California Baby Super Sensitive hair and body wash, but didn't like it for hair and it dried out and irritated my skin (redness, dryness), and I've tried John Masters Zinc & Sage Shampoo, but didn't like that either (too moisturizing, made me itchy, very strong fragrance). Any recommendations?

Another good company is ABBA. I tried both their Pure Basic & Pure Color line and like them both.

Elizabeth

I used to also get an itchy scalp every now and then. I've been using Giovanni's Tea Tree Triple Treat S & C and they're wonderful! Very minty and tingly when you use it. I know it's been mentioned that you can buy them at Target, but also try Walgreens--sometimes they have a buy one get one deal!

I also use Giovannis shampoo and conditioner, also after shampooing rinse hair with 1/4 c Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with warmwater, becareful this will sting the eyes but massage in before rinsing,
then use a small amount of conditioner sometimes I just skip the conditioner if my hair doesnt need it . The vinegar will make your hair shine and have more body
