one of my closest friends is g-f celiac vegan and there are a number of g-f vegan blogs online. Although not allergic to gluten myself, I find it hard to concentrate when i eat gluten foods -- esp breads, so I try to cook without it as often as possible. I use g-f all purpose flour and use grains like brown rice and quinoa.

There are g-f vegan blogs and also g-f blogs that while are not vegan, have vegan recipes. Other vegan blogs, like my website happyherbivore.com, have g-f labels. There are lots of cookbooks on the market too.

Also remember that we need very little protein in our diet. Too much is harmful and taxes the kidneys. Protein is in all foods - grains, fruits, veggies, beans, lentils, nuts and seeds. You're probably getting more than enough even without the powders.

I eat a lot of beans to get my protein. I love them. So filling and delicious!!
