Hi!!! I'm feeling so good about something that i just have to tell everyone!!!! If you're a chocolate lover--this is for YOU!!!!! Check out organicmeltdown.com. By purchasing one bar, you save one tropical forest tree. You can help make a difference--and fight deforestation!! They have a few videos on their site-so check them out. When you buy a bar-you're automatically saving a tree-but you can enter the code (that's inside the wrapper) onto the site-and keep track of all the trees you saved-and be part of the online tree saving community! After u save your trees-u can see where they are via satellite! It's such an incredible thing!!!

Yeahh-it's so awesome-i know this sounds silly, but i cried when I had my first bar :). I saved 7 trees so far...they're all in Ecuador. I found these organic meltdown bars in Brooklyn, NY on 11th street & driggs ave--can't remember the name of the store. Ecuador is home to more than 4,600 unique plant species found nowhere else in the world, many of which are threatened by the rapid deforestation. There are many animal species that are rare and endangered that inhabit these lands too. Spectacled Bears, Mountain Tapirs, Pumas, Jaguars and enormous bird diversity, are just a few. Here's a link to their site:

Absolutely, these are entire ecosystems, and no doubt. Wow...saving the world never tasted so good, eh? ;) I mean did you see those flavors they have?? O.O! (That's me w/ saucer-eyes - LOL!)

Ha!! U're right on sister!! They tasted even better-knowing that i've saved those trees. I was checking "TOP TREE SAVERS" on the site-and a few people have saved over 100 trees! One person saved 134 trees and another saved 113 trees.

hi there..just looked at the choclate and it looks like they use dairy. in which case the production of the choclate is actually damaging to the enviroment. is there a particular flavor you love that is dairy free? and sugar free? made with say agave or something? i have some great choclate companies i will share soon. thanks for inspiring me....and if anyone has favorite choclate companies that are enviro friendly and animal friendly and people friendly ...truly kind ...let me know....i love me some choclate.
