Ohhh-ps-i was just checking their site again and 4 out of the 5 bars are vegan approved. The only sell 5 kinds of bars and only 1 of them has milk in the ingredients. I copied & pasted this they are vegetarian society approved:

Alicia and Chloe, I'm so sorry, I feel like a stupe!
Oooh my gosh...and there I was goin' all on about it , too - I saw it was...well, the site SAID it was acceptable...and didn't investigate. How on earth could they say is was ok, that's just WEiRD! I wanted to believe, it's CHOCOLATE, darnit - LOL!! Wow, just goes to show how much I dunno. Chloe, the tree thing IS wonderful, and Alicia, I can't wait to hear your suggestions but some really KIND chocolatey goodness - and you GO girl with the sugar free, you know me, I likey that - LOL!!
Love you both!
Endangered species chocolate bars are just incredible, and they have several vegan flavors. They sweeten with beet sugar, which is still refined but is an all around gentler crop on the earth. The organic bars are sweetened with organic cane sugar though. My favorite is the extreme dark chocolate, it has very little sugar. Good for those days when you need a nibble!
And the company uses fair trade cocoa, and donates a percent of proceeds to protecting the environments of endangered species. Their packaging is recycled paper and everything!
Hi Karen--- ohhhhh no--don't worry cuz organic meltdown chocolate is Vegetarian Society Approved-but they do have organic cane sugar in their bars. Out of their 5 bars that they sell-only 1 of them has milk in it. If u go to their site-and click on the tab that says "our chocolate" and scroll down-u'll see all their stats-they're a great company!!!! I also often eat Green & blacks.....and Dagoba-and Terra Nostra & Phinney--and Theo & 365.....and Chocolove. Vosges has a few organic kinds too-i tried their organic enchanted mushroom bar
Hi French Momma--yeahh -the endangered species one is fab. too! I've had that 1 a few times....i like what they do too!!! I don't see that one often in stores.
Thanks sooo much, Chloe-babe, I appreciate that - my GOSH, there's a lot to track and figger out! Thank goodness I've got HELP - LOL!
Hey Doll-how ya doin??---yer so very velks :). Yep-i totally agree--it's like we have to be little detective-girlies!! :))
