I made the tea this morning - but it was more like a hot smoothy - sound right to you guys?
So funny you mentioned to tofu - I made it tonight but I made the dip a little different. I used some red pepper flake and tossed the tofu in it. I also made come steamed collards. I'm not really a big fan, but I mixed them with the tofu and sauce and they were quite tasty! I had them with rice and I have left overs for my work lunch tomorrow!
Summer, thank you, I absolutely would LOVE your support and recipes and ideas. I am totally diggin' this new journey I'm about to embark on. I am super excited to try all these different recipes. Your vegan lasagna sounds amazing. I was sooo moved that I also went out and bought a sprouter, and snow peas for it. I am gonna read up on this tea and maybe try that also. I bought twig tes which is not altogether horrible, but when I mixed it with a dab of apple juice, became pretty darned good. have a wonderful night all.
Yeah I'm so hooked on twig tea for sure. I got the one Eden makes and picked that up at Whole Foods. Have one every morning now (instead of coffee!). Made the Cure All Tea last night (I think on page 290?) b/c I was feeling run down and crumby after a looooong Monday workday and the gym, and OMG the energy I got and general "better" feeling, was amazing! That tea is something else man. If you girls haven't tried it, I recommend you do if you need a pick-me-up!
Sounds awesome. I decreased my carrots and diakon to 1/4 cup each because I couldn't deal with the texture, now it is perfect. I googled "diakon carrot weight loss tea" and found another recipie that used that ratio so I figured it was ok. Today was day three!
Now I'm enjoying some miso soup at my desk! MMMMM
Ok, I made the crispy tofu with the orange dipping sauce and maple. Had the side of bok choy ( couldn't find smaller so I just chopped the larger one up ) and the rice with lemon, basil and tomatos. That rice is UNBELIEVABLE. I am satisfied but not full. I feel so light and happy...YAY!!! I tried teh Ume plum vinegar for the first time. AND, i had no idea that i even LIKED basil!!! LOL....wow...Does anyone know where I can find the kabocha squash? It sounds amazing, but i have never heard of it or even seen it.
I had never heard of it either, but now that I'm aware of them I see them EVERYWHERE! They are dark green with an orange spot on the bottom (where it sits on the ground) They are similar in shape to a pumpkin as far as ovalyness (is that even a word). I have not cracked into mine yet but I'm excited to do so.
Lots of markets have them right now because they are in season. Google it and take a look at the pictures then check out your local grocery store!
Amen to that Michelle. About a year ago I did McDougall and I lost about 20 lbs, but I couldn't keep up with it. I've maintained, but I"m thinking macrobiotic is more my style.
