Hi Brooke!
Where in Australia are you? I'm in Sydney and we have a group of vegans that get together for meals and picnics every now and then. I'm sure most states will have a group that you could join :)

Hey Mandee, I'm actually in sydney too! That's great, I had no idea... I was just getting excited about world vegan day next sunday because I could meet some fellow vegans, but that's lovely that there's a vegan crew :)

Hi guys,
I'm up in Cairns and have been vegan for 3 1/2 months and loving every minute!!
quick question, do you know if any of the big supermarkets like Woolies or Coles sell daikon or umeboshi plums?? or am i better off trying an Asian food store??
:) thanks!

hi kerryn, I would doubt that any of the major chains would sell them and hey it's better to support the smaller stores anyhow! try asian grocery stores andhealth food stores that also stock fruit/veg as well as any farmers markets, or ordinary markets, hope this helps... not too sure what the cairns shopping situation is like. hope you find them :)

Hello! I live Brisbane and I'm excited to see some fellow vegans are nearby. :-) What recipes have you tried lately?

Hey Brooke :) Did you go to the Cruelty Free Festival in November?
Also, we organise bake sales in Sydney to raise money for animal-related charities. We had our last one for the year at the end of November and I think we'll wait until Feb/March for the next one because it's a bit too hot at the moment!
Jodie - I haven't tried any Kind recipes yet as I'm doing a blog cooking challenge at the moment, but I soon I will read the Kind Diet and get started!
