Black refried beans: 3 cups of dried beans, 1 onion, 6 garlic cloves, 1 jalapeno, 3 tsp of salt, 4 1/4tsp pepper, 1/8 cup of cumin, and 9 cups of water. Put all together in a crockpot on high for 8 hours. Drain and mash with a potato masher. Thats it.
Then cook tortillas and top on your favorite toppings.
Hi Dani! Wow, this sounds good. Please, pardon my ignorance, but are those pintos you use- what kinda dried beans? And the tortillas, do you make those yourself, too? I have the masa - do you just follow the package directions, or do you have any special tips? Thanks!
