Hi All,
I wasn't sure if the vegan diet would be right for me - or perhaps if I was right for it. I'm a 6'2", 225 male and was raised on meat and (fried) potatoes. I've always had this nagging thought in the back of my mind that my diet was doing me no good but never let it get enough of my attention to do anything about it. Well I caught the Kind Diet book session at the Boston Public Library this weekend and I was very impressed. One of my bigger concerns was that I turn into a 6'2" 175 pound scrawny guy on the diet. I ended up meeting some people at the lecture who had been living on a vegan diet and were in fantastic shape and definitely not too skinny. Anyway all the other health and environmental benifits are a great reason to change my diet but I wanted to let any other men out there know that it is possible to eat well and maintain an athletic figure. Next step is to get my dog Mac on a better diet. I never even thought to look into vegan alternatives for dogs. Thanks for the book and sharing the information!
Thanks for posting your thoughts (though I'm a little late reading it). I want my husband to read this!
