I made Alicia's soft rice Porridge for breakfast this morning - YUM! breakfast will never be the same. It was comforting, delicate and so tasty. a perfect combo of flavors ,sweet apricots and salty umeboshi plum, toasted sunflower seeds and parsley. I had to pour off a little excess water maybe because I didn't use a packed cup o rice but delish. Will be making it again soon...after I try a few more recipes.

I had this for breakfast too. I made mine a little different. I used leftover brown rice and it was still moist and delisicous. I loved the nutty sweet flavors didn't you? It was so filling and good at the same time.

I had some leftover brown rice from dinner last night so I thought I'd give this recipe a try - it was absolutely delicious! It reminded me of oatmeal but so much more flavorful and satisfying, and the combination of the apricots, the parsley, the sunflower seeds, and the umeboshi was amazing! Very yummy!

I made this with left over brown rice but I found that 2 cups of water was too much. I did the other version of adding onion, carrots, miso, nori and seasame. I loved this very much as a lunch.

Does anyone have any tips for making this? I made it just this morning but it was way too watery. I had to pour most of the water out after the 15 minutes of simmering, and I'm sure I lost a lot of flavor by doing that. I used leftover (already cooked) rice, as the recipe called for...HELP!
