I have been "flirting" with the vegetarian lifestyle for years now. When I saw the write up on Alicia's book in Body & Soul magazine, I just knew I had to give it a try. A couple of months ago I was in a car accident (I was hit by a drunk driver) and I broke my pelvis and 2 bones in my neck area. I've had surgery and have lots of new "hardware". (Watch out Linsay Wagner...I'm the new Bionic Woman!)I'm still using a walker and wheelchair and will be graduating to using a cane very soon. Trust me, the walker and wheelchair get real old, real fast!

So...flash forward, I have lots of extra time on my hands to concentrate on my healing and well being. Today I made the Bok Choy with Ume Vinegarette and to use Alicia's words...OMG!! That is good cookin'!

I've been following the plan for a week now. I was initially feeling bloated and crabby...the crabbiness is gone (my friends are relived!) and the bloat feeling is subsiding today.

Thank you Alicia and thank all of you for this wonderful little community of like minded flirts and super heros!! :-)
