Hello, I want to begin The Kind Diet, but I want to cleanse my body before I start. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Eating healthful, nutritious is one of the best ways to cleanse your body. I would just jump into the eating plan and if your body needs to detox, it will.

Hi--u can do Garden of Life's cleanse called "perfect cleanse"-it's a great and gentle cleansing system--it's $16 for the kit-u can buy it in vitamin shoppe or vitaminshoppe.com or whole foods or any health food store. Yogi has a few detox teas......the peach is good. Also try fasting 1 day a week --and drink a lot of purified or distilled water. Eat lots of veggies & fruits-and also buy a body brush-dry brushing prior to showering exfoliates the skin--removes the dead skin-and assists the body in removing toxins-and increases circulation. Good luck-

HI, I agree 100 percent with Leena. Start eating a plant based diet and your body will cleanse itself.

You have to cleanse first to remove toxins and build up and sludge-in the colon---and then u'll better absorb all the nutrients from all the new foods. I'm not an expert-but i read a lot about this--if u want to absorb what u're eating-u need a cleanse colon first :)

I made a typo in my last sentence above--i meant to say u need a clean colon first. Perfect cleanse cleanses the liver and the colon-and the whole body.

I've read quite a bit and from I read, our body is pretty good at detoxing itself, especially when you start eating healthfully. Good foods will clean your colon out for sure. Alicia talks a bit about experiencing detox in the book and it is true. I have only really read about the benefit of 'detox' products by those trying to make money from them. That is just my opinion though.

Almost everyone carries 5-10 pounds of deeply buried toxic poisons in their colon and body. Yes-definitely--i totally agree --i stated in my above post that eating more raw organic veggies and fruits will flush out the heavy accumulation of toxic poisons i.e.--environmental pollution, processed foods, toxic conventional mainstream skin care and body care. It's free to fast once a week. Everyone needs to cleanse--even people who are strict vegans that eat 100% organic. Like i said--i'm not an expert-but i have several books on this.

again, differing opinions. I don't think anyone needs to cleanse. I don't have anything against fasting, I don't think it is necessary though.
