Ok, I made my first cup of "tea" this morning....smelled bad, but the taste was good. But now I am having some stomach cramping and diarrhea. I am assuming it's from the tea...... Should I be drinking less of it? Have you experienced this before?
I have not tried it - I am trying to find the Umeboshi Plum where is a good place to find it- would it be in the fresh fruit area?
I found it in the Asian isle in Whole Foods, it isn't fresh.
Hmm interesting. I'd be interested to hear experiences from others. Maybe it was a coincidence, but who knows. Our bodies react differently to food on different days.
Hey all- I am confused about how often to drink this tea...... it only says on an empty stomach.........so does that mean just first thing in the morning? Or does it mean before every meal???? Please share if you know :) Thanks! Lisa
hello all, I'm slightly confussed about the tea as well... are you suppose to strain the carrot and daikon after cooking it and just drink the liquid or drink/chew it all? cause thats a whole cup of pulp!
You are supposed to drink the liquid and eat the pulp. Eat everything. Trust me, it will fill you up. The pulp is worth eating.
I have the same question Lisa- when is the best time to have the drink- also I went to my local Whole Foods and found Umeboshi Paste but not the plums- can you use the paste instead?
You can use the paste - it is the exact same thing as the plum itself but easier to find. I got the Eden Foods one. I was told a plum is about as big as a tablespoon so I put in about a quarter or so of a tablespoon into the mix. You do eat and drink eveything in the cup.
Any other input anyone has about if it is just supposed to be drunk first thing in the morning or before every meal on an empty stomach?
Thanks you guys about eating the pulp as well i was also confused. As for the umeboshi plums, took me forever to find them, our trader joes does not carry them, I did find them at whole foods, they are packaged with the asian foods. It is expensive, so if the paste works and is cheaper that might work ( im a cheap counselor going back to grad school so you may not have a prblm with price).
