I've not gotten an answer on this.... I'm going to do the Master Cleanse :) BTW- the comments in the book about umeboshi being great to rebalance your system after a late night out is very true and amazing!

lisa - i'm curious, what symptoms of yer 'late nightedness' went away after drinking the umeboshi tea?

i had a wicked headache and overall yukness vibe two days ago (thx to some delicious wine - oh so superhero-ish of me eh?) and made the tea.
didn't feel particulary better after the tea.

anyone else have sharings around the effects of the tea?

thx!

i woke up with a wicked hangover, drank a cup of the cure-all-tea, and felt better.

specifically, my headache lessened, i no longer felt shakey, and my stomach was no longer queasy. i did have to take a tylenol for the headache; the tea didn't totally cure it.

wait im confused, does the umeboshi plum go in the diakon carrot tea? Do you think I could just run the diakon and carrot through my juicer?

Yes, the umeboshi plum goes in the tea. I would boil it like the book says.

I think the pulp is the most important part, so it shouldn't really be "juiced". I put the veggies in the Magic Bullet. Drank the tea, ate the pulp, and feel great! Hope it does the same for you.

what is the recipe for this tea? I finally found some plums at an Asian market by my house for less than $5 - at the health food store (non refridgerated area) it is $15.. I hope I got the right stuff :)

Do you have The Kind Diet? It's on p 139. The main thing you want to look at if you are buying the plums from an Asian market is the ingredient list - especially avoid plums that have MSG added. While the cost at a health food store is much higher, the ingredient list is short - Eden brand is plums, sea salt, water, and shiso leaves - and it usually takes a while to go through the plums, so to me the price is worth it.
