I've just been using grocery store deodorant but want to buy eco animal friendly. Any recs on one that works and doesn't leave white marks???
I like Tom's of Maine the solid.
I use the Toms of Maine sensitive skin non-scented and I LOVE it. I've tried the lavender before and to be honest it smelled nice in the tube but I smelled um, funky, by the afternoon. I havent had the problem with the unscented at all, so I'm assuming it was just a bad mix of scents. Keep in mind that it's a deodorant, not an antiperspirant so dont be surprised if you get a little damp in hot, sweaty climates. HTH!
I use "Amazing Thai Crystal Deodorant Stone." You can get it at Whole Foods. This stuff is totally natural, all made from mineral salts and it ACTUALLY works. It doesn't just cover up the scent of your sweat, it neutralizes the bacteria on your skin that causes you to smell in the first place. Great stuff.
I have been using the crystal deodorants for a while but if you want a 'regular' deodorant that is vegan, I've heard Mitchum is vegan. I worry about regular deodorants because of the aluminum which is why I like the crystal.
I make my own. For me, it works better than the natural store-bought deodorants. I think everyone's skin chemistry is different, so different things work for different people. I've heard wonderful things about the stone and know several people who use it, but for some reason it doesn't work too well for me. Here's the website I got my recipe from: http://littlehouseinthesuburbs.com/2009/03/quick-stick-deodorant.htmlI am not smelly, I promise! lol
Hows Toms of Maine? has anyone used this one?
