Washington D.C. vegan or vegan friendly Restaurant rec's?

My best friend and I are meeting in Washington D.C. in late November for a short girls trip. We're both on this path together and would love any recommendations for really good vegan restaurants. I used to live in D.C. but haven't been back in 4 years so I'm very unfamiliar with their restaurants. I'd be thrilled if there were a Pure Food and Wine or Candle Cafe!! Thanks in advance!

www.vegdc.com is really your guide to food in and around the city. If you want a nicer type restaurant (rather than casual), Vegetate is a vegetarian restaurant with vegan options. I've never personally been there.

Harmony Cafe is a pretty good restaurant in Georgetown as well, nothing fancy, but they basically have vegan options for everything on their menu but they do serve meat.
