Ok...the washcloth body scrub...what's this about? Can you do this in the shower or do you have to be outside the shower, and why? Please explain. I tried it and felt pretty dumb. Probably because I didn't know what I was doing it for?

the body scrub helps open up you pores to release toxins and is good for increasing circulation.

I tried it too and had to get in the bathtub cause i was making a mess. I also decided to use a body scrub with the washcloth. I don't know if this is a wrong way of doing it either. I felt good and clean I then put body lotion on.

Yami- Can't you open up pores and increase circulation in the shower or bathtub? What am I missing here? Help? I do what Amy does- I scrub head to toe with an exfoliating shower mit and body wash while I shower everyday. Like Amy, when I tried to do it outside of the shower, I got water everywhere and felt silly and eventually jumped in the shower! I'll try anything if it will contribute to better health but I'm not understanding the point of this.

I think maybe doing it outside of the shower is for those who don't shower every day. Also, she mentions using REALLY hot water which we don't often use in the shower. After working for a popular cosmetics brand I know that exfoliating is GREAT for your skin and can only help with improving your look of health. When you are eating great foods, some of the toxins might be expelled through the skin, which would then be scrubbed away by yourself. Just my take on this, but I love how my skin feels :)

I use a dry natural bristle brush to brush my skin before showering. It does the same thing --opens those pores. I find it much easier than doing the hot water scrub. I'm just not coordinated enough to do that without sloshing water all over the place.

I got my dry brush at a spa, but you can find them at target. It's just a wooden brush a little larger than one you'd buy for scrubbing feet.

I absolutely loved that hot body scrub. I made the water really hot but sqeezed to ring out the towel so it was just hot and moist not wet at all and i just scrubbed my skin. It was invigorating. You shouldn't really be wet enough to need to get in a bath. It was a nice bonding time with me. I've been doing this at night and I usually shower in the morning. I recommend it but I should get one of those mitts or something so i don't go through all our towels.
