I am searcing for advice on relieving cramps with natural remedies. I know Alicia reccomends light foods, soups, low sodium but cramps girls!!! I could pop a pill made from crude oil into my stomach as it reaks havoc on my insides and does relieve the pain. I am teaching this morning and normally I would go for the crude oil pill of choice but with this new lifestyle I would prefer something natural and wholesome. Any advice please. I want to share it with another group of ladies so better late than never!!!
Cannabis. Quite a few of my girlfriends use cannabis for cramp relief - I am biased, a huge cannabis advocate but - some of my girlfriends only use cannabis during "that time" and it totally relaxes them.
I'm going to try what Alicia recommends this month...I actually went on birth control partially because my cramps were so bad I couldn't get out of bed on the first day of my period. Every month if it was the first day, I'd have to cancel anything I was doing, couldn't even walk let alone work or hang out with friends. I'm totally going to try Alicia's remedies, and I hope that cleaning up my diet will lessen the negative effects as well. Once when I got my period at a renaissance fair and had no medication on me, I ordered two cups of mead and drank those, and they helped lessen the pain, although I was pretty tipsy (very low tolerance because I rarely drink). Well, good luck to the ladies! I know how horrendous that time of the month can be, not to mention bloating and mood swings! haha looking forward to it :)
I read and reread page 290! I just think I missed my opportunity for it to work. I can't get some of the ingredients for the drink too. I will make sure next month to prepare in advance and hopefully I will pull through with less pain. I didn't give into the crude oil pill. I worked through the pain and made it of course. However I got awful headache this morning and went as long as I could without the toxic pill. I did only take one instead of two that they recommend. Thank you for all the advice I will just prepare in advance next time. Some one did recommend to me primrose oil! Never tried it though.
How many times a day do you have to take the Hauschka remedy/drink the tea? I'm going to try Alicia's method as well, but I can't find Burdock anywhere...Anyway, I'm just wondering because I am not looking forward to horrendous cramps and it would be so lovely not to take Aleve, as it's the only pill I take ever, and I want to phase it out. I'll try to go low on the sodium, but I'm a huge fan of shoyu...Still attempting to add less of it to things :). Thanks for the advice!
