I am a recovering addict (cigarettes included) with 10 years. I slowly gained weight over the last 5 years. I have a great love for sugar. But like the drugs and alcohol, sugar doesn't love me. I'm also perimenopausal...which is a nice way of saying "you've got 5-12 years to go!" So. All that being stated, I've decided it's time for another shift. Another change. I want to treat myself with the same respect I treat the people in my life. I'm excited to give up the meat. But dairy? --Girl! This is the end of day two with the vegan approach. I'm achy and gassy...but so far so good. Pushing water. Need to get Alicia's tea fixins! Looking forward to getting more connected to my body. Wouldn't have been able to take this on until now. Thanks Alicia for a great book for beginners like me!

Keep on trucking- we all feel your pain- I'm coming up on the end of week 1 and it's been a rollercoaster. But I feel really happy knowing I'm not contributing to animals suffering.

What kinds of detox issues is everyone having? I'm sort of achy (neck and shoulders). I just want to know what to expect! I'm on day 3 of (almost) 100% vegan (no meat, no dairy, some non-vegan sugar containing products)!

I'm coming up on my first week right now. Felt so bloated at the beginning but today was the first day I felt A LOT better. Been taking walks and drinking tea to help loosen things up a bit! Feel great though, and I have noticed I've been having a lot less food cravings than usual! Love that!

Day 24 of all vegan diet. Feeling much better. Especially my mind, clarity of thoughts. Clearer energy in general. Calmer. Better, moving bowels. And, oddly, I feel like I have alot of choices. My pantry and fridge are full and that NEVER happens.

Hi everyone,
I recently started to cut out dairy from my diet and feeling better. One way to detox your body is to eat only fruits and vegetables for 3 days you will get tired and have headaches but that's because its removing toxins from your body and make sure its organic fruits and vegetables and then after 3 days easily adjust to eating vegan meals provided by the kind diet book. it works great.....

Keep up the great work everyone!!! It's been tough over here too, but it's been worth it. Can't wait for the cravings to disappear:)
