Appreciate any views on how to curb cravings for white bread. I usually have two slices toasted for breakfast and have tried since Saturday to have fruit, oatmeal, blueberry pancakes....nothing seems to fix the craving!!! HELP

Have you tried something like ezekiel bread? Unfortunately, white bread is as close as you can get to sugar in bread form and as such can create cravings. One of the ways to reduce the cravings is to persist and to not give in.

Ezekiel bread is one of the healthier breads out there. I like it toasted with some earth balance, local jam, and cashew butter on top. That tastes really good! If you have never really eaten whole grain bread, the texture and stronger taste will take some getting used to. But, I loved white bread in the highschool and now only eat whole grain. It can be done! I think you just need to ride out the craving. Uh, if you live in upstate New York, especially the Hudson Valley (I know, it's a long shot), there is a brand of bread called Heidelberg. They make a "cracked wheat" sandwich bread that is glorious and nice and moist if you buy it fresh. It's right between white bread and whole wheat, and it has no preservatives. It's healthy and tastes amazing. Hopefully you'll be off white bread soon! All the best!
