It was a good read but kept using chick-like terms and often referred to the reader as a "Goddess" and told me how changing to a Veg lifestyle may initially disrupt my menstrual cycle...gheesh, it wasn't until page 128 that she finally acknowledged that a male MAY read her book.

Welcome. :)

Hhhhmmmm...a guys book. Sounds like an opportunity for Alicia's husband to put some pen to paper. Would be nice to get a guys perspective on a lot of things. Y'know you have books like 'The Hip Chicks Guide to Macrobiotics' or 'Skinny B***ch' but for a guy you seem to get the unhumorous, practially textbook style of things like 'The Macrobiotic Way'. All great books but we guys aren't all meat and potatos (obviously) and can have a fun side that loves life.

The Skinny Bitch authors wrote a Skinny Bastard book too. But you guys are right. You do get left out a lot. Woody Harrelson should write a book. He's been a hardcore vegan/environmentalist for ages and has the knowledge, passion and celebrity power to sell the shit outta some books and spread the word. And you dudes could get through it without being called goddesses, hee-hee.

I had no trouble translating the important parts of the book to a male perspective. I wouldn't think of giving the book to a man though...
